How long can a Ziggler WHC reign be?

This is sort of assuming Ziggler successfully cashes in but after Cena failed I think the consensus was that two in a row wouldn't happen.

With Sheamus in a dominant place in WWE as well as Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, Big Show and potentially Wade Barrett and others in the WHC scene, (most of whom are treated much better then Ziggler) once Ziggler has won it he will be pursued by a lot of people and you can only retain via DQ and count-out so many times.

I don't think he will be in the WHC match at WM29. I'd like it, but I don't think at an event when WWE puts forward their absolute best they'd be willing to make Dolph Ziggler one of these people. He could also hold onto the brief-case till post Mania but I don't think WWE would plan that far ahead, what is the record for longest period of time without cashing in?

Essentially what I'm saying is that I hope he does become WHC at Hell in a Cell so he can get the most out of this reign before WWE revert back to treating him as an after-thought.

If they build him up to be a credible Champion there's no reason he can't hold it for 6+ months in my opinion, it's only the Smackdown belt after all. As much as I want to see Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus in a World Title feud, they've given Dolph a shot with the case, they may as well let him attempt to run with it like they did Bryan.

Dolph Ziggler may be a massive jobber, but he's still won every active Championship in the company with the exception of the WWE Title. That's far more than Wade Barrett can say he's accomplished. The only Title Barrett's ever held was the IC Title, and his reign was one of the most forgettable in history and he was merely a placeholder Champion to give it to Ezekiel Jackson. Ziggler has been treated like Cena compared with Barrett, especially considering Barrett is a lot better than him.

As shown by example, about 10 minutes.

With way Sheamus is booked and other factors like Orton and Alberto out there, I’d say about a month or two.

I’m not saying a Bryan-esque reign isn't possible but the Smackdown landscape has changed since Bryan’s reign.

Whenever he has to defend it the first time.

A month. 2 tops. Bryan was an exception because he got really over. However, WWE have a potential Sheamus/Orton Wrestlemania match which they look like they want to go with.

Sheamus/Orton sounds awful. Whose idea is this?
