He's not walking into Mania as Champ, I would highly doubt it anyway. I think he's winning the belt at Hell in a Cell, it's never been done before and given the Sheamus/Show build-up so far has revolved around Show being embarrassed losing the Title in no time to a cash in, I can see the roles reversing and Show costing Sheamus the Title after losing to him.

Ziggler then loses the belt at Elimination Chamber, giving him approximately a 4 month reign, which is a pretty damn decent reign.

I'm thinking WWE are gonna go with Orton/Sheamus for the WHC at Mania. I can't see them putting a top belt or a Rumble win on Ryback within his first year in the company. I think he'll maybe beat Show at Mania.

I realise where they're going and that WWE will push Roman Reigns straight to the top. However for me, Dean Ambrose is by far the most talented in that group and I think eventually if they just give him the spotlight then he's going to shine. As soon as he touches a mic everyone else can just sit down as he's magic on it. So It remains to be seen, I think they're all talented but to me Dean was the star of that group. I think Roman looks like the star of that group but I don't think he's nearly as talented as Dean.

Looking at his win and loss record, it doesn't seem like he'll have it for long...

Not like walking into Mania as champ means anything, Daniel Bryan did it and look what happened to him.

I'm not convinced of a HIAC cash in yet. We'll see I guess.

Technically it's not his first year in the company, but why wouldn't they? They did it with Sheamus and Del Rio, and he's more over than both of them put together, and I'm talking currently, not when they first came in. Plus, Vince is absolutely in love with him. That's why he's in this program with Punk so early. I can totally see them doing it, especially because it's only the SmackDown belt.

Plus, the idea of trusting Orton with the WHC match at MANIA on 2 strikes is absurd. What are they gonna do if he hits 3 with 2 weeks of build left, or even worse the go home show? I know technically anybody getting suspended would ruin the Mania title match, but it's even worse when you're on 2 strikes and they invest all that time in somebody who has to be gone for a year.

It sounds like a cop-out, but really, it depends on the time of year. I don't think Ziggler is anywhere near ready for a World Championship reign. They've jobbed him out so much and he has so little momentum, his character is still lacking in development, he's still with Vickie (and they recently went nuts with that and made it seem like he needs her to be around for him to do anything, like she's his power source or something), there's just a laundry list of problems with him at the moment. Of course, that means he'll probably be given the championship any week now.

If DoubleDeckerBar is correct, Ziggler would be the wintertime champion from late October to Elimination Chamber, to get his reign in, but he wouldn't carry it to Wrestlemania, because they can set up a bigger match in Sheamus/Orton. I also like the theory that with Sheamus making such a big deal out of Big Show's humiliatingly short World Heavyweight Championship "reign" last December, the tabled might be turned (although at the end of a rather long reign for Sheamus, but still) with Ziggler cashing in on Sheamus after Show knocks him out once Sheamus has won the match. That would make some sense.

If Pyro is right, they can wait a little while (the hints of him taking the championship via cash-in at Hell in a Cell might be a red herring/misdirection play) and let Ziggler pick the championship up at TLC and follow the Daniel Bryan model and let him be champion for just shy of four months from TLC to Wrestlemania for the "pet project" in Ryback as Sheamus was last year.

I'd say anywhere between 2-4 months is the most realistic scenario. I doubt they'd "squander" Money in the Bank by giving Ziggler a reign that lasts for less than two months but unless he cashes in post-Wrestlemania next spring or summer, let's say, which is sort of more of the WWE's "unofficial offseason," I can't see him receiving a marathon reign.

Once he finally does get it, I think his reign will last at least 2 PPVs. Possibly 3, but I wouldn't bet on any more than that. Still, what's important is that he gets the "real" #1 world title reign under his belt. Once it happens, he'll be getting serious matches for the foreseeable future instead of being in constant use as "jobber to the stars".

As for Barret OP. . .he's not taking the WHC title from Ziggler. Would be one of the most boring WHC reigns in recent memory. Guy's decent, but I don't see main event talent in him. He's too generic. Above average, but generic. We've seen enough of him to no longer be able to classify him as a prospect with great potential since he hasn't really improved much. Dude's been around nearly 2 years now. He won't even get a shot unless it's a random filler fued in which he has no chance of winning.

I'm still not completely convinced he'll ever get the chance. Every week I expect some angle to come out that puts the briefcase on the line. So far I've been happily surprised that he still has it. At the same time, I can't shake the feeling that he'll lose out on the opportunity.

Watch them pull a Edge and have him drop the title in like 3 weeks.
