Why the hell are they giving away CM Punk vs. Sheamus on this show. Those two need to be kept apart for a long time so that that can build into something huge.

But why we even needed another weekly show in the first place is beyond me.

A big main event for the first episode of "Main Event", it makes sense.
After this, we probably won't be seeing the real ME talent on the show.

If that means that I get to see more of guys like McIntyre, Hunico, Hawkins and so on... Fuck yeah!

They want to have a lot of shows, they want to be on a lot of networks.
They want to make a "boom" in the industry by themselves.

they had a dark match last week on RAW and they will have another Dark Match today before having their match taped tomorrow. So I guess why not? Its just an exhibition match. Big Show & Heyman or Ryback will likely interfere anyways so a clean outcome doesn't happen.

With the debut of WWE Main Event on Wednesday on the Ion Network, WWE will be changing up their TV taping schedule. As we noted a few weeks back, starting today, Raw and Superstars will be taped Mondays. On Tuesdays, Smackdown and Main Event will be taped.

Internally, the plan is to kick off Main Event with some top-tier matches and talent as WWE wants a strong showing for their new network partner, particularly since Ion is broadcast traditionally in many markets, as well as carried via cable providers. So, expect more matches at the level of Sheamus vs. CM Punk early on.

I think it's obvious why they went with another show. Both major shows will have an hour of taping for Main Event, and Superstars. You need more exposure of your talent, and another show is the perfect way for that.

Hopefully I'll remember to watch this, I've watch tons of shit on ion in the past (mostly criminal minds reruns) and the quality of the channel is pretty terrible (like it's fuzzy/lower volume) so hopefully they will have those things fixed for something like the wwe.
