Re: WWE 2K14 Official Release Date Revealed!

I highly doubt I'm going to rush out and buy this one. I pre-ordered both WWE 12 and 13. I even went to a midnight release for 13. Don't get me wrong, I liked 13 more than 12, but still not worth going out and getting day one. Highly doubt 2K14 will have anything to change my mind on this. Eventually, I'll pick up the game. But it'll probably be after Christmas time, closer to January.

I usually get these games every year out of habit, this year will be no different.

Furthermore, if I were to buy another it certainly wouldn't be WWE 2K14. I bought '12 and '13 and regretted both purchases within days.
With ya on GTA V, gonna be a GOAT game. As for WWE 2k14, they rehired they same people that've been making the WWE games the last few years, which means the same old shit basically. I'll wait for the reviews, then consider renting it.

Like everyone said 14 was already in development so they wouldn't have been able to get it out in time of they did it over from scratch. 2k15 will be a fully developed by 2k game and hopefully awesome. I would love for a my pro. Start working random indy shows to determent your spot in NXT building up attributes and moves leading all the way up to main eventing mania. For online have something to like the ea hockey league where you can have like 1v1 to 5v5 online matches and have like the 2k online wrestling league. Have a title belt for each bracket single tag and diva.

But is there ANYTHING to remotely confirm that? *If* WWE 14 sells well enough, I don't see what reason 2K would have for wasting the manpower, technology and time trying to change the formula for the next year. You can say "company image," "wanting just to make the best game," etc. but it all comes down to profits as we're all aware. For all we know, 2K have no idea that WWE 12 and 13 have been absolute garbage and are perfectly content telling the old THQ staff to just keep it good enough for profits (which is where they're at now). I'm trying to remain optimistic in hopes that when WWE 2K15 comes around, we'll have an entirely new game from the bottom up, but if 14 sells well, then they may as well keep it the same, and if it sells poorly, they may just go "oh, no one cares about Wrestling games, why bother putting effort in?"

I guess a better way to put it is that 2k15 will be under them from start to finish. It would be in their best interest to make a great game as they can dominant the US/Canadian/Euro markets. Their is no WCW so their is no real competion. In the Asian markets they probably have as well as Mexico with njpw, AAA, and CMLL.
