Take Two Owner Of 2k And Rockstar Buys WWE's Video Game License

The era of THQ wrestling games is over. Sources have indicated to IGN that the WWE game franchise will be sold to Take Two, parent company of 2K. Terms of the sale are unknown at this time, as details have not been finalized. These negotiations appear to have taken place outside THQ's formal auction process.
This news comes as THQ assets have been divided among several different publishers, pending court approval.
For more on WWE games, and THQ's future, stay tuned to IGN - official announcements are expected as soon as tomorrow.

Well fuck, everyone (including myself) thought WWE was going to EA, a report even stated such, then there was a report that WWE was interested in starting their own gaming studio and making the games in house, but Take Two has taken control of the WWE gaming license. It's rather interesting honestly, not sure how 2K Sports would handle a WWE game, and Rockstar isn't even an option really.

Never bought a 2k game that I am aware of and I highly doubt Rockstar would do a WWE game seeing as they are more into open world games.
(Although that would be awesome for a CAW career mode, travel from arena to arena to compete and along the way buy steroids, kill a hooker and get a police chase.)
What can we expect from 2k then? Anyone got an idea?

They are the owners of games like Grand Theft Auto and BioShock, not just 2k Sports. These games are known for the free-roaming stuff, and if they add free-roaming matches to WWEgames like in Here Comes the Pain , then I am set. I hate backstage brawls. I want to able to go into the ring, then to the back, then outside and fight. I don't like staying in just one parking lot.

And will be cool to go from the ring,to outside of it, and all around the stage(and even off the stage), and then branch into backstage(with various areas backstage) and even being able to fight in the crowd.
lol, even do what HCTP does and be able to fight in merchandising area and outside the arena.
