but being a bad company didnt exactly help them either. A big factor in them being so bad was their mishandling of the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic. A game that, by the developers' (BioWare) own admission, was not ready...EA games insisted that they push the release date up to Christmas so they could get DEM BUYS. 6 months into the game, they announced that the game would go F2P by september. It's now floundering to stay relevant.
But yes, you ARE correct in saying that a large part of EA being the winner of that tournament is because of Reddit and 4chan's work. Which is why I love the internet just that much more.
Yukes is the developer of WWE games, THQ was only the distributor. All this means is new marketing and stuff. The games will stay the same.
THQ was associated with Yukes, and WWE '14 is last game released by them. SO 2K Will make new dev team for wrestling games to keep it up with their other sport games. WWE '13 looks like crap in comprasion to 2k NBA & their other games.
Re: Take Two Owner Of 2k And Rockstar Buys WWE's Video Game License
I really hope they encorporate Universe Mode from recent years mixed with Season Mode from the earlier Smackdown Vs. Raw games. Imagine being able to choose your own roster and having broad cut scenes that one of your customer superstars for instance could fill in for. Would be amazing.
