Should WWE start releasing Complete Editions?

DLC is the future of gaming and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. While I'm not the biggest fan of it (among others). It does seem like it is here to stay. WWE games have had DLC for quite sometime now. Most games with DLC eventually come out with a complete edition sooner or later with the DLC included (examples including: Resident Evil 5, Gran Turismo 5 and Mortal Kombat).

So I was thinking: should WWE (or whoever) start releasing a complete edition of the game after so many months with all DLC included? I'd say within 5 or so months after the games original release would be a decent time. And put an $49.99 price tag on the game (or even the original $59.99).

Thoughts? Opinions?

There should not be any need for complete editions all theses moves, wrestlers should be there from the start.
The only time if dlc is really needed is once the game is out, say a new wrestler debuts but tbh you can wait a year for the next wrestler if that particular wrestler is still even with the wwe.

Its just one big cash cow at the end of the day.

the most disturbing thing is that the DLC is on the disc, you just have to pay to unlock the shit that you already have on the disc...

And sad thing about that.....some companies actually said things like that is the future of gaming. Meaning you'll pay maybe $5 just to get the game. And then pay for each thing you wanna unlock.

Using WWE13 as an example:
Lets say the roster contains 1000 superstars/divas. They'd charge you 10 cents per superstar or diva(meaning it'd cost $10 just to get every superstar/diva in the game). Followed by paying something like $10 to be able to play attitude era mode. Another $10 to play WWE Universe mode. Another $10 for customizations(like create a superstar, create an arena), $10 for online play, $10 to be able to play matches in exhibition mode.

Or they might just charge a 1 time price of $60 or something to unlock everything(so individually, you'd be paying more than if you paid 1 time price)

So basically, in order to even play a game, you'd have to pay just to unlock each aspect in it, even though it's all on the disc already.

If that actually does happen, then video games will start dying. Another thing that could hurt video games is download only games. I know there's some already that are download only(but those are small games only like $15 or something), but the big games that'd be like $60, would be maybe 10GB in space(a size that might be too much for someone with a bandwidth limit. I know for my ISP, it costs like $50 a month for 80GB of usage(80 a month means an average of 2.6GB can be used a day,10 is way too much)

The fact that for WWE '13 they wanted me to pay $60 for the game followed by however much more to unlock certain things including more wrestlers is the reason I refuse to buy the game. Why should I pay full price for a game just to have to put more money into said game to get more wrestlers.

Don't see why they would since that'd be shitting on the people who pre-ordered the DLC and they'd make more money with Fan Axxess.

My problems with DLC is 1. some of it is developed along with the game and 2. the quality is poor.
I've complained about the quality of the in-game wrestlers but with DLC there should be no excuse.

Now they've gone and made a moves pack featuring moves that they brought back and moves that were supposed to come with in-game wrestlers.
Don't know how anyone can justify putting wrestlers in the game and then not giving them their finisher just to sell it later on.

The content in the DLC packs was the turning point for me, WWE '12 is the last game i'll buy from them.

There already is a complete edition of WWE 12. Its called WWE 12 Wrestlemania Edition. It was released in May or sth like that. It had all DLC and PreOrder Rock and everything from the get go.

Makes me cringe. Paying for moves is literally the worst. THQ dug their own grave.

I think the WWE should start releasing decade packs, tag team packs, championship packs, and others as well. For example. Why not have a DLC with the best tag teams of the 90's? How about a DLC with IC champions from the late 80's. They can even have a Cruiser-weight DLC. Maybe have a DLC with all wrestling attires dating back to the 80's? What do you all think?
