Pro Wrestling X is Released! Kind of...
So, the game that has been in development for some ten years, Pro Wrestling X, just got released and stuff. It's an on going development beta of course, but it's exciting news for those who have been following the game for a long time!

It's cool the game finally got a release but I think it was a bad move by Dave to release it this early. Should have just had a closed beta.

I agree. I think I would not have minded even six months time. As much as I like the idea of the game, a beta version could lose interest.
Will definitely pay the $5 for the game though, as it is. Just don't want to be paying 5$ a month for 2 years and getting it bit by bit, haha.

I was following this game what seems like years ago by now. It's cool that it is finally getting some sort of release, but I wish they could have finished everything they wanted to into a polished game, or at least as polished as possible.
I'll probably wait until they have more things worked out on it to play it.

I bought it. Couldn't say no for £3.10, haha. Will have a go of it today.
I hope this doesn't happen though, I hope I don't start it up and you're able to be one guy against one guy in the same ring with 4 moves each because as much as it's fair price to help someone along, I don't really want to pay £3.10 for a game every few weeks that gets better in dribs and drabs.
Hoping it's good, or interesting at least. Will write here once I've played it.

I can't seem to get it to load up after picking the wrestlers.
Not really impressed.

Couldn't agree with you more. I understand that it's probably a small operation for the developers, but you're right, this should not be what's released after 10 years of development (which I find a bit misleading--yes, they may have first started 10 years ago, but there's no way in hell that they've been actively working on this the whole time). Nothing about the game as it stands is polished or anywhere close to being finished (and with the progress they've made in 10 years who knows how long it will take to get to that point).

Re: Pro Wrestling X is Released! Kind of...
I dont get the hype around this game. Now, don't get me wrong and mistake that for me saying "OMG THIS GAME SUCKS", because chances are it's probably not all that bad.
I'm NEVER one to say that graphics make the game, because they dont. But in today's market, how is a WWF No Mercy (for the N64) rip off supposed to be taken seriously? Why wouldnt I just fire up my N64 emulator and play that? The visuals really dont do anything for me, and in a wrestling game, that's about 75% of its value.
These are serious questions. Someone want to fill me in on what makes this game worth the hype?
