Ruthless aggression isn't considered classic. A WCW 96-98 theme would be good but that would require Vince to actually put over WCW for a long period of time, and I don't see him doing it. They will probably just do a regular game next year.
I would have rathered no AE mode, and having: Tyson Kidd, Trent Barretta, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Kaitlin, Aksana, Alex Riley, Camacho, Curt Hawkins, Titus ONeil and Darren Young, Evan Bourne, Ezekiel Jackson, Johnny Curtis, JTG, Michael McGillicutty, Rosa Mendes, Tamina AND all of the current Era DLC Superstars available from the start: Tensai, Ryback, AJ, Damien Sandow, Antonio Cesaro, Layla etc...
Which is probably why they jumped straight from what, the end of 1998 (I don't recall the last moment in the game), all the way to WWF buying WCW (among a quadrillion other reasons).
On a related note, it would be silly of them to "finish off" the AE as some have suggested. They already ended the story so to speak, so they would have to essentially tell the ending again (with Vince buying WCW/ECW). And from a marketing perspective, what would they say? "More Attitude"? "the rest of the Attitude"? "Attitude: Part II"?
If they were to do something AE-related again, it would be interesting not for them to just do more WWE/F stuff from the time, but also include a WCW roster. But again, it raises marketing issues--WWE 13 was just as much Monday Night Wars as it was Attitude Era, so there would be no good way of building the game around the war. Actually now that I think about it, it would be interesting to do the Invasion angle, but include some of the WCW stars who didn't make the cut in real life. However, I'm sure there are a million things preventing them from doing that (legally speaking).
