Re: King of WWE '12 Tournament

Those first two matches sound exciting, but when I read that they were 9/6 minutes of length... Wtf?

You should re-do this tournament in WWE13 just to compare the games.

---
Anyways, I McIntyre vs the wrestler that I want him to be.
I hope he pulls through.

Also: The "Best of Samoa" match will be exciting. xD

Re: King of WWE '12 Tournament

N-Zone accidentally made Sheamus vs Cena, hence why the match still hasn't ended.

It depends really. Some can be quite interesting or exciting, sometimes just funny. Some can be outright boring. Just like actual wrestling matches I suppose.

Here's the next couple matches, apologies for the delay I've been a bit busy the past couple days.

Inferno Match
DREW McINTYRE (Zankman Jack)
vs.
BOBBY ROODE (EmotionBlur)

The Route to Victory:
Throw your opponent into the flames.

Match Background:
First round match. McIntyre has an overall stat of 83. Roode has an overall stat of 91.

So, tell us about the match…
Match started with an opening sequence where the referee’s set the ring on fire, I’ve honestly never seen that before. WWE ’12 still busting out some new stuff for me Basic back and forth to kick things off, Roode gets more offense in but only just. We hit 500 degrees for the first time and “The Leader of the Selfish Generation” narrowly avoids being thrown in by the Chosen One!

More fairly even battling, although this time Drew’s got a bit more of the advantage as we hit the special 500 mark again and Roode connects with the Payoff! The temperature drops and now Roode is solidly on the assault after hitting his finisher. CROSSFACE LOCKED IN! McIntyre struggles for a while and eventually fights out of it. Both men up and Roode runs into a belly-to-belly overhead suplex! And another! We hit 500 degrees and McIntyre trys to throw Roode in, but he blocks it! McIntyre tries again, counter! PAYOFF! FROM OUTTA NOWHERE~!!!

What was the finish?
Roode picks Drew up following the sudden Payoff and the temperature has hit the magic 500, “The It Factor” attempts to throw Drew into the flames, AND HE DOES! Drew’s on fire and Bobby Roooooo advances!

The Winner:
BOBBY ROODE (Emotion Blur) advances to the next round, congratulations!

Hell in a Cell Match
JOHN CENA (CruzControl)
vs.
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN (Ether)

The Route to Victory:
Pin or submit your opponent. Falls count anywhere; they don’t have to be inside the ring.

Match Background:
First round match. Cena has an overall stat of 95. Austin has an overall stat of 94.

So, tell us about the match…
Here’s hoping this match isn’t anywhere near as long as the first attempt. Cena kicks things off with one of those perfect dropkicks of his, while King bizarrely gushes over how incredible it is that this HIAC match is no disqualifications. Austin with a savage Powerbomb not long afterwards. Cena replies with another dropkick. And another dropkick, don’t spam your way to victory now John. Not much interesting happens in the next couple minutes. Cena’s in total control. Cole said that just after I typed it, spooky stuff. After minutes of Cena kicking ass, Austin hits the Stone Cold Stunner from quite literally out of nowhere. Doesn’t go for a cover though, hits a piledriver instead! Austin goes for a sleeper hold and I get nasty flashbacks. The leader of the Cenation starts to take control again after that. No one’s gone for a weapon or even left the ring yet…

Cena gets the first Thesz press of the match in! He goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Austin counters! STUNNER, but no Cena counters it! AA!!! Cena just adjusted his attitude! Cover, one…two…no! Cena picks Stone Cold up and goes back to them dropkicks, followed up by some stomps and the “you can’t see me” right hand. They finally start to brawl on the outside a bit and Austin throws John into the cell a few times. King – “These steel cage matches are vicious!”. The hell is wrong with you, Jerry?

Back in the ring now and STONE COLD STUNNER! But CENA NO SELLS! DAT BOY IS RIGHT BACK UP!!! And Austin bails out! No comeback for you Cena!

What was the finish?
Super anti-climatic finish in this one. Austin got back in the ring and him and Cena fought for about another minute before Cena hit a Thesz Press, stomped Stone Cold a couple times and then pinned him for the three count at about 10 minutes in. I’d love to come on here and see the backlash if this happened in real life

The Winner:
JOHN CENA (CruzControl) advances to the next round, congratulations!

Re: King of WWE '12 Tournament

This has got to be rigged.

I mean, Drew didn't even hit the Future Shock DDT? Really?

:P
In all seriousness, 91 sounds like a perfect rating for Roode, tbh.

All of this sounds amusing, what match was your favorite one so far?

Probably Drew/Roode to be fair. The Inferno match is quite exciting, mainly because you can't see the little minigame during the "potentially thrown into the fire" scene you have to go through for the finish. It felt like it could happen anytime so it was quite cool to watch.

Here's the latest two bouts. Final first round matches should be tomorrow, presuming WWE '13 doesn't totally take over my life.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Extreme Rules Match
DOLPH ZIGGLER (Ziggler Mark)
vs.
CM PUNK (Fid)

The Route to Victory:
Pin or submit your opponent. Falls will count anywhere in this one.

Match Background:
First round match. Punk has an overall stat of 94. Ziggler has an overall stat of 87.

So, tell us about the match…
Only interesting thing to happen in the opening two minutes was hearing Cole & Lawler talk about how evil Punk is with his mind control and self-righteousness, as if the SES is still going. Gotta love that outdated commentary. Little continues to happen, just basic moves and countering until Punk nails the first major move of the match – a Falcon Arrow. They happily take the fight outside and Punk wails on Ziggler with a crutch! Ziggler managed to scramble and pick up a guitar but he drops it no apparent reason and then enters the ring. SLEEPER HOLD TO PUNK! Ziggler has perfected the Sleeper Hold! Punk struggles but eventually gets out of it!

Fight goes back to the outside, Punk grabs a table but Ziggler takes a drink from one of the fans at ringside and throws the soda in Punk’s face, causing him to drop the table! That damn liquid! Punk fights back though, retrieves the drink and throws it in Dolph’s face! And he does it again. How much soda is in that thing?

Back in the ring and Punk has grabbed a steel chair. He props it up in the corner and then Dolph rolls him up with the ZIG ZAG! No cover attempt though, Dolph decides to whip him head first into the chair instead! CM Punk gets up and Ziggler bashes him in the skull with a guitar! EL KABONG!

What was the finish?
The fight continues on the outside of the ring with Punk using a table to assault Ziggler, preventing him from using a trash can. Dolph eventually counters the table based offense, drops the table and hits a jawbreaker. He covers… for three?! Wow, what a weak finish for an eight minute bout that was steadily getting better and better

The Winner:
DOLPH ZIGGLER (Ziggler Mark) advances to the next round, congratulations!

Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match
THE ROCK (Purple Aki)
vs.
SAMOA JOE (Coolquip)

The Route to Victory:
Climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase hanging above the ring.

Match Background:
First round match. Rock has an overall stat of 96, making him the tournament favourite. Joe has an overall stat of 87.

So, tell us about the match…
Joe’s in his Nation of Violence pajama attire for this one, thanks Russo First move of the match is Joe suplexing Rock through a table! I could use a fast start after the slow build of Punk vs. Ziggler. Joe climbs a ladder, it’s not near the briefcase though and Rock tips him off and JOE FALLS TO THE OUTSIDE! Rock continues his beating with a suplex and side Russian legsweep on the outside. Joe gets rocked with the inside-out clothesline back in the ring, and then hit with a float-over DDT. This is all Rocky’s right now as he sets up the ladder and has the briefcase in his hands. Joe’s just watching. Still watching. DO SOMETHING JOE! He finally does and brings the Rock down, and then whips him into the ladder.

The Samoan Submission Machine doesn’t keep the advantage long though as Rock counters a suplex attempt, drills him with a spinebuster and then THE ROCK BOTTOM! VINTAGE ROCK says Cole! Rock climbs the ladder but Joe comes to and meets him on top! Joe punches Rock off the ladder and he falls right onto another ladder! Joe has the briefcase in his hands but The People’s Champ just prevents him from winning. The Rock then seizes control of the contest for the next couple of minutes, wearing down Samoa Joe. Rock hits another spinebuster and then ROCK BOTTOMS Joe right on the table! Joe bounces off of it instead of going through it! Rocky picks him up, goes for another Rock Bottom, Joe counters it! COQUINA CLUTCH! Rock fights out of it after about 15 seconds and then sets up the ladder in the center of the ring.

What was the finish?
The People Champ quickly scaled the ladder and grabbed the briefcase, Joe got back up but was too slow to stop him and Rock pulled down the briefcase for the victory at about 9 minutes in! Bit of an odd finish since Rock had just been in the Coquina Clutch but what’cha gonna do…

The Winner:
THE ROCK (Purple Aki) advances to the next round, congratulations!
