WWE '12 Wii Help Needed!

So not much of a gamer these days. Used to play the original "Smackdown" and "Smackdown 2: Know Your Role" PSOne games non-stop though. However, the more recent games have gone to a grapple system that I don't particularly like, so I don't find them as fun.

I did buy WWE '12 for the Wii though. The store was giving away a free Rock DVD if you bought $50 worth of WWE merchandise, so I took the plunge. This was months ago, but started playing it today. It's soooooooo hard though!!!!

Basically I start off fine... for about 15 seconds. Then whenever my opponent goes on offense I'm pretty much done. I will never go back on offense. I just take a beating until I either get pinned or submit. Santino made me tap in under 30 seconds!

I'm using a GameCube controller. The instruction manual says I should push the "R" button to reverse. I'm tapping it like crazy but not once have I ever reversed or broken a hold. Sometimes an icon for the "B" button will flash on the screen, so I took that as a hint to try pushing that. No luck there either. What am I doing wrong?

Failing that, is there a way to put the game on "easy" mode? It would help me to learn the basics without getting beaten so quickly. I tried looking in "options" but I couldn't find anything to change the difficulty level.

Thanks in advance for the help guys!

You don't conter by smashing the reverse button, it's about the right timing. And you should be able to switch the difficulty under the my wwe menu.

Hmmm. I don't seem to have a "My WWE" menu. My choices from the main screen are: Play, WWE Universe, Road to WrestleMania, WWE Creations, and Options. I tried going to Options, but it's not there either.
