My list (Haven't played any of the OG Xbox games)

1. HCTP
2. No Mercy
3. DOR 2 ( Though I like the match selection of WM XIX)
4. WWE '12 (Yes it has flaws, but Hell I still play it.)

Can people tell me why they liked SM2 and SvR06. Never played Smackdown and haven't owned 06 in years.
SD 2 has that arcade-y feel to it, with the fast paced action and craziness and whatnot, while still giving us a great wrestling game with the grappling system (which WWF games hadn't had on the PS1 until the first SD game). Plus it has an amazing roster from my personal favourite year (2000), TONS of match types, title belt history and contender rankings which is a nice feature, and a good season mode which I've played for over 20 years personally. The first year of it is great too for including a bunch of actual angles used in 2000 (WM, Backlash/Austin's return, JD Iron Man with HBK, SS with triple threat etc). And every so often you'd wrestle one of those unknown wrestlers and if you beat them you got a new set of moves (based on real wrestlers). Just an incredibly fun game with tons of great features and re-playability that we just don't see any more.

As for SVR 06... its basically HCTP but with an updated roster for the time, GM mode, and small improvements here and there to make it something other than a clone of HCTP.

No Mercy for me. Still playing it now, albeit modernized. Class game. I just wish the N64 became the N128 and so on, and we still had them games now but improved so much.

I still want DOR 3 on a Nintendo Console. Come on WiiU... you can do it!

Before I got a PS3 it was nice having the "same" WWE game as the other consoles (took a couple of years for them to get pretty much everything in though lol), but at the same time having different games completely on different consoles was awesome for variety and made me want other consoles even more.

I'm glad other people like DoR seems like forever I couldn't find anyone. Closest games to getting the No Mercy feel down and adding new stuff. I loved the submission system in DOR 2 and the fact that you could interrupt moves (something WWE 12 has, but it's not nearly as well done as here). My only complaint for DoR2 is the stamina because the game is so fast paced, stamina really fucks you in the ass sometimes lol.

Speaking of DOR/DOR 2... is there any other wrestling game that could actually be considered a true SEQUEL? I mean the story mode. The way DOR 2 continues and builds on what DOR 1 did was incredible imo. Loved DOR 1 and how you started out in warehouses or something then house shows and dark matches before choosing either Raw or SD and starting out on either Heat or Velocity before you ever got to Raw or SD and started to have legit angles. Shame it wasn't in DOR 2 but it would have looked out of place since the story continued. Something I would like to see back in WWE games though. SD 1 had something similar where you had to work for so long when you started season mode with a CAW before you would start on the real shows and shit. Would have been nice for that to be in SD 2, there really wasn't any reason for it not to be in, unlike DOR 2.

Yeah, I really did enjoy that. I sort of though that's what the Jacob Cass storyline would be when I heard you won NXT but nope. Shame too, wouldve been a much more interesting story. I would've loved to have played something like a first season NXT.

I'm not too sure about my favourite. Just Bring It was just about my first wrestling game but Kane-UK brought up some very good points I hadn't considered but I can agree with. I have played Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain and I remember one or the other being spectacular (but it has been a long while since I've played either and I actually get the two confused :\). Does Crush Hour count? xD

Also SvR '06 is a game I used to want to play a whole lot. GM mode was a boat-load of fun and Create-a-Championship was awesome as well. At first we had it for the PS2 but my brother got a PSP as well as that game and I'd keep on asking him to play on it! It was so good.

WWF No Mercy hands down the best.I loved the Royal Rumble I used to modify to where you would get eliminated by Ko or blood ah memories...
