iPad Review: Wrestling Revolution
This is on par with TNA as the best 'in ring' wrestling game on the iPad.
Yes the graphics suck, (If you want graphics get the TNA game) yes theres a lack of options but come on, the game is getting updated all the time and it's actually fun to play unlike the WWE Legends of Wrestlemania game which sucked.
Before the matches there's a promo segment. My favourite was Ryback vs Goldberg vs Crimson. With Goldberg accusing them of stealing his gimmick. It's priceless. The game play is quite unique. You have to pinch a wrestler to grab him, then you draw a line or a zig-zag to pull off various moves. It's really cool when you get it down but it sucks to start with. SO PLAY THE TUTORIAL.
There's a ton of characters and theres a new match card to play through each week so it's kind of like a miniature wrestling promotion.
Each wrestler has around 8 front grapple moves (which is more than the WWE games) and their finisher. Plus you can go up top and there's weapons in the game like a table.
There's also a ton of option and the developers have just added new control schemes for those that can't get used to the touch controls which tells me they are listening to the fans.
Slick Rick gives it a good 7 out of 10. The game play is better than TNA, the number of characters is more and the number of moves per character is more but the graphics aren't quite there.
