Re: Official WWE 13 Thread
Played this game for a while when it first came out. AE mode was sick but as usual the game just wasn't deep enough for me. Universe mode was kind of a mess, I preferred just making my own stories with detailed cutscenes. It was better then Universe mode but I still got bored after a while since I knew everything that would happen. Am I the only person that fucking loved GM Mode from the SVR series. I was in complete and utter shock/fury when I saw it was removed a few years ago. Easily the best mode the series has ever had imo, you booked all the matches, there was popularity 1-100 for all the wrestlers, you competed with the other brand for ratings, you could buy storylines from the writers and plug in wrestlers who fit the story. It really was great stuff and could've been improved upon every year had they kept it in the game.
Like someone above me said the AI is shit. The main problem is it's treated like a true fighting game and it's based off damage levels. If I hit my finisher on someone they shouldn't just pop right back up. If I'm setting up for a huge spot the cpu fights their hardest so I can't pull off my spot. It ruins the realism of what a wrestling match is like even if it is a video game. I would go play UFC Undisputed series if I wanted gameplay of an actual fight. WWE is entertainment and the cpu's "real fight mentality" ruins that for me. They fight to win 100% of the time, just needs to have a little more relaxed and theatrical combat between the wrestlers.
