The gameplay doesn't look that much improved, they added new stuff which is cool(but how often do you ever actually see the AI climb to the top rope(especially if you're standing up?), RARELY IF EVER), but doesn't seem like they fixed some current stuff.

Great that they've changed the audio. The crowds sounded real dead. It was like a Green Bay crowd for WWE event every week in past WWE games, now, the games sound like it's in a bigger city like Boston,Philly. Sucks that JR-King duo will only be available for attitude era part of the game(though the commentary for JR-King was GREAT in that small clip they showed with Austin and Mankind).

THQ seem to be one of the worst when it comes to taking a feature out, putting it back in a few years and claiming the game is "BETTER THAN EVER~!!". Absolutely no idea why they took out Special Ref to begin with, it's fun as hell in multiplayer.

Special ref, fighting in crowd, fighting on announce table, connecting areas and other things, have been taken out of the games throughout the smackdown series.


I think many people are gonna be more excited for the day WWE moves off THQ, than they are for any WWE game release made by THQ

The kickout meter is still the same though(they just changed the look of it).

I hate the kickout meter. Losing matches despite not even taking much(if any) damage.

I think you're right man. I know I for one would love to see what someone new could do with the WWE game license. THQ/Yukes have been phoning it in with good-but-not-great releases for years now.

Waited till it went down in price last year and after watching that Vid Im tempted to do the same again. The only good things I saw from it was that we have JR back and the finishers from the top rope. Aside from that game plan looks pretty much the same.

That trailer looked pretty good. I'm glad they've added Special guest referee match back, that was always a fun one to play. Audio sounds a lot better so that's a plus too. The new features such as the top rope codebreaker and the suplex that can break the ring are cool, but they seem really situational, so I doubt you would get to pull them off much.

I have no problem with the kick-out meter and I think it's the best of any wrestling game (and I've played a lot of wrestling games). I just find it really easy and I can have matches last 20, sometimes 30 minutes, when I'm playing with with my brother because we're so good at it.

I'm not going to get my hopes up too much though, which is the right thing to do with these WWE games.

I really hope this game has the biggest moveset ever.Would be cool if they added moves like the Chaos theory.

The ring breaking has already been confirmed to happen only when you do that superplex, with 2 super heavyweights. Don't know how many super heavyweights are actually in the game though. Obviously Big Show and Henry are in that category. But don't know who else. They should have just had it where the superstar preforming it, had to have at least 90 grappling power, and superstar they suplex, is over 400 pounds.

Though the super heavyweight thing could mean weight detection is back, which is a good thing(as long as there's alternative moves for guys who can't pick up bigger guys). I remember playing DOR2 with weight detection, and I couldn't do anything except striking and running grapple moves with Mysterio on Big Show, because most of Mysterios moves were moves that he couldn't preform cause of the weight difference. Wish they'd have alternative moves in scenarios like that.

And like I said, top rope moves, I dont know how often they'd even happen, cause AI never even climbs to top rope to begin with. Unless it's like other moves that they added, where these moves use up a finisher(just like how running RKO was a finisher itself, not like a special move you could preform in a diff scenario).
