If it's anything like career mode(from I believe SvR10), then I really don't want it back. It was really just "you're the #5 contender? Face the number 4 contender. Then if you win, face the #3 contender, and if you win that, face the #2 contender, then, face the 1 contender, then face the champ. Once you win, become the #5 contender for ____ championship and do this all over again"
how else are they realistically supposed to do it? I guess they could RNG some feuds along the way, but thats really the only way they can do it in a video game.
That career mode is better than the career mode/RTW hybrid kinda deal they had going a couple years ago. Remember the one where they'd do those pre-match camera cuts backstage and your character would be high-fiving his arch nemesis because fuck continuity? It's not that it wasn't fun, it was just typical lazy THQ at their best.
Well if they would just dump all these shitty features the last several games have had and give us back the GM, RTW and career modes from SVR06 we'd be all set as far as I'm concerned. Like WWE itself, THQ just tries too damn hard to look like they're coming up with something really revolutionary when really all they're doing is giving people shit they don't want.
This x100. Honestly I think they just want to try and show us that they are creative which is why they purposely year by year give us everything aside from GM Mode .like they think reverting back that will make them feel.lazy and unimaginative. Even though its the only thing anyone wants
Phht, I don't fucking want it. Am I seriously the only one who has no desire to be a damn booker in a wrestling game?
I would if you were given your own new show. So you could draft in who you like, essentially be running a new product against the Raw/Smackdown then i can make my WCW/ECW hybrid!! :P
you can swap wrestlers and created storylines online, with the comp generating estimates money takes and TV ratings allowing for wrestler contract poaching.
I like to think of it as a more organized way to create feuds and such. Although I wish you could edit the amount of matches on the show.
I still have no interest in creating feuds and such. It's a game, I just.....play it. I can just use exhibitions and make up the feud in my head, or think about what WWE's doing if the two characters have a feud, I don't need a mode for it.

I didn't originally like the GM mode, but then I played it for a video review and ended up really loving it. More interesting than the likes of EWR or whatever its called, since you get to play the matches and whatnot, but its not a mode I'd use all the time. Just play a week or so at a time then go back to exhibition.
I think GM Mode does a lot for the replayability factor. It gives the game structure and gives you a tangible goal to shoot for (with regard to the TV ratings, PPV buyrates and such), as opposed to just sitting down and saying "now I'm gonna do X vs. X". I can understand why some wouldn't find it appealing, but I thought it was fun.
