Re: Official WWE 13 Thread
Still no game for me, hopefully tomorrow morning since Game "aim to deliver for release day".
Also got an email saying I wouldn't be recieving the exclusive t shirt due to an issue with the supplier but will be getting £5 back. Not too bad.

Damn, 2006's PS2 models look better than these plastic pieces of crap. I also don't care for the Attitude Era stuff. Anyway, this will be the first WWE game I don't buy since the original Smackdown Vs. RAW. This game is not worth it when I can play the previous one for the same experience.

i totally disagree and am baffled by your post. you may be the only person i've heard of that doesn't 'care for that attitude era stuff'.

Graphics are a small reason on why i buy games, as long as the game play is solid it's not really an issue for me.

I wouldn't say it's a big deal for me but it does disappoint me that a few of the models look worse than last year. I mean I figure if they have a better looking one, why not use it? (Note: Haven't actually played yet, I've only seen screenshots/videos.)

I can respect that. As a kid, I may have enjoyed the Attitude Era, but looking back and watching some RAWs during that era, it's just not my style now. Neither is modern WWE, mind you. I prefer the old control scheme (I know you can change it) and I prefer the gameplay/features of the 06/07 SvR games, I guess. Ever since 2010, the series has been getting more and more away from what I would like it to be.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread
I too say that the gameplay itself isn't anything special.
Though I disagree, WWE 13 is completely and utterly... Better. It's an obvious improvement, really.
It is obvious at this point, though, that they are purposely "not adding" stuff each year. You can expect people to get hyped once the list of "new features" get announced for WWE 14... All the while asking yourself "Why wasn't it there in the first place?", which is a legit question.
I too dislike the graphical style.

I wonder what the big new features will be for next year probably three way tlc matches that were already in the series before.
Some of the character models from what i have seen do look poor such as Edge,Bret and Booker.
THQ are not stupid they know how to take advantage of their customers and with the whole DLC era they will do whatever it takes. They know fans will buy the game as what other games companies are making wrestling games at the moment?

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread
Really getting into the AE mode, loving the nostalgic feel, only downside is it shows just how much better the product was back then. Just had some wicked matches with Bulldog, Taker & Bret, I'm actually enjoying the gameplay (probably because i've not played a wrestling game since Smackdown vs Raw 2010 which frankly was garbage.
