Re: Official WWE 13 Thread
i have 360 and ps3 but got wwe '13 for the 360. my xbox live membership ran out last month and i need to get a new one so i can't comment on the CC and stuff, but here are some thoughts on the game:
cleared: rise of dx, austin 3:16, the great one, mankind, and am about to start WMXV section of attitude era. all i can say is they did a superb job with the attitude campaign. fucking superb.
the new crowd noise is so good. it is loud and responsive. when you go on a comeback or get the momentum going or hit a finisher you really feel like you're there. 'let's go cena, cena sucks' chants as well as 'ECW! ECW! ECW!' chants usually when weapons are used. i've heard some complaints about the crowd but i think it really, really enhances the game.
i haven't had any issues except for the following: in single player i had a very slight slow down in FPS during a suplex. it's of note that this was not due to the weight factor that they have included this year(slower and more difficulty in lifting bigger opponents which is really cool and makes the game feel more realistic.)
and during the rock/mankind i quit match i slid into the ring with a chair and the chair disappeared and i was unable to move. then mankind slid in and the same occurred. the crowd kept going and soon began to boo us for not doing anything. i had to restart the match but it wasn't a big deal to me.
there are apparently 105 characters in the game(a handful are non-playable i'm sure, i.e. managers, etc.) but that is a massive roster and that is before the 3 DLC's they're putting out.
here are my only two complaints: not sure why damien sandow and others are in the january DLC as there is a pretty extensive attitude era roster already in the game and i would have rather had new guys in the first DLC. also, i'm not sure why these guys had to be DLC anyway. sandow, ryback, etc. should have been in game already in my opinion.
and my other complaint is that mick foley does a dropkick in the game. really? REALLY? other than that, i have been playing since tuesday night(barely played tuesday, though.) and i can't get enough on this game. i'm 27 and i woke up yesterday and today excited to play it. i haven't felt this way since i was a kid and would wake up excited to play no mercy.
i guess there is one other complaint i would like to talk about, no mercy brought it to mind: what happened to all of the amazing moves the games used to have? i would kill for a proper burning hammer or a wrist-clutch exploder in the game. i know you can create a burning hammer, but not a proper one where the opponent lands on their head/neck. it's by no means a deal breaker for me but it would really enhance the game in my opinion.
after a solid two days of playing i would have to rank this game 9/10 for sure. it would be a cool if they did like '84-'95ish type of campaign next year. or a wcw or ecw campaign. attitude era campaign beats the hell out of last years road to wrestlemania type campaign, that's for sure.
anyway, that's my two cents on the game thus far.
you are what you love, not who loves you.
