all this focus on the attitude era is all well and good but what about the actual gameplay?

If the matches are a chore to play and finish then i'm not going to care whether the APA or Rikishi are playable.

The gameplay needs to be revamped completely but once again all this will be swept under the rug and they will release a mediocre game with terrible gameplay for 35+ and then more money will have to be spent for day 1 DLC.

rant over, but seriously fuck Yukes/THQ.

What are you talking bout? The gameplay last year was GREAT!! The only issue with it was the annoying timed pin sequences, but other than that it was the closest we've seen since No Mercy style to very easy "pick up and play" gameplay.

The countering system, kickout meter were 2 of the main things I hated about WWE12. If they could ever figure out how to make a game harder, without having so many counters, then it'd be way better. It's harder to determine how good a match is, if half the match you spend either counting AI moves, or AI counters your moves(I have AI countering on max,cause if I didn't, I'd win too easily).

The other big thing is stamina. Part of it ties in with countering. But the countering rate 15 mins in a match, is same rate as it was at the start of a match. If I could go for a finisher 2 mins into a match, there'd be just as much chance for my opponent to counter it as it'd be 15 mins into it.

And as well, just like in real life, matches suck alot if the commentary sucks. Look at a sports game, something like NBA 2K with the NBA Today feature, makes playing a game seem so much more unique cause of the commentary/presentation info which gets updated daily(at least during the season). Some other game like NHL, seems boring cause of same commentary for several years(just like WWE).

It also doesn't help WWEs case when it's not only the same commentary in the game for several years, it's lines that shouldn't even be in the game(like mentioning hardy)

They need to work on the gameplay in general. Older games had an fun factor and longevity and you could play for hours. Nowadays I can't find myself playing more than two matches in a row.

The main problem in the gameplay itself for me is the lack of intensity. Actually playing the game all feels too slow and unresponsive.

Another belief is that Too Cool, Rikishi, and Blackman actually had in-game models created for them before they were dropped from the game.
Pobably didn't have them so the current roster didn't look shit. Fucking BS this is.
