I still don't understand that mode. I'm assuming you can choose whatever matches you wanna play in a card, but I don't see the fun in this. Why don't you just make your own match-ups in "Play" mode?
BTW, Attitude Era mode is FUCKING amazing.
Well if actually played or researched the mode you get a better understanding of it, but I'll try to explain to best I can here. Universe Mode is like a story mode that you much more control of. You play through the weekly shows, like RAW or Smackdown (or you can customize the shows to whatever you want them to be, for example you could have an Attitude Era show and roster) and those shows build to the PPV shows, and you have total control over your rosters and such. There's storylines that can influence who your superstars can feud with, but if you don't like the direction that the computer is taking your storylines you can just change whatever you want and make your own feuds (I'd recommend this, much more fun). There's a ranking system for titles and superstars have to win matches to advance up those rankings and become the number 1 contender for titles. In this years game, they've added the ability to customize your rankings so if there's a particular superstar that you don't want challenging for a particular title you can change that. There's injures that can happen (although in this years game they've given the option to turn injures off if you don't want them) and superstars can get injured if they've been apart of a brutal match. And when you're injured, that superstar is out of your Universe Mode for a certain amount of time (some times a few weeks, sometimes even months) until they return from injury. In this years game they've also given you the ability to vacate titles, which is good. Also if you don't feel like playing through every weekly show, you can skip ahead to any part of the year you want. For example say you're in May on your Universe Mode and you want to skip ahead to January to play The Royal Rumble, well you can do that. So overall, Universe Mode is like playing through the WWE shows like you would see in real life, it's a lot of fun, I'd highly recommend you try it out, and it's the main mode I've played in the last few years it's been in the game. There's a lot of replay value in Universe Mode in my opinion.
Anyone see this piece of unfortunate commentary in the game? Dark, reaaaal dark. But also pretty hilarious.
This was posted a few pages back, but I'm pretty sure that commentary line was in the game last year. I think I remember hearing it in the few divas matches I played. But yeah, with Lawler's recent heart attack that's an unfortunate line to have in the game.
