Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

Has anyone mentioned how disproportionate Ryback is???
I hope they fix that before he's released! He looks so weird! He has such a skinny neck.

Definitely excited about Statistics! It'll help me remember stuff that happened in my Universe at least a bit.
I definitely won't have to type every single detail up.
But I'd really love for next year to have some type of
"History" page of your Universe that collects the data and
shows what went down on each show. That'd be amazing!

THANK YOU PUNK.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

Weight detection has been promised since SvR2006 and year after year I can still powerbomb Big Show with Rey Mysterio. I'll believe it when I see it.

Did they not have weight protection before that,I am pretty sure there was one game? Still do not why they would take this out just one of the many weird decisions THQ make each year.

They had weight detection in SvR 2006 and 2007.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

It's a feature they add in after they take it out and claim it's new.

I'm all for a more realistic game, but I feel that they could have left stuff like backstage roaming, jumping off the fist, and crazy weapons in and it would still be a real and entertaining experience.
Didn't they switch from animations to straight Mo-Capping everything?
Watching all the old games play out, they're so much more fluid and quick. And the moves just look better.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

so gay about backstage brawls being in it, how hard is it to put in backstage roaming and brawl but add it so you can still go back to the ring.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

Aside of all my doubts (and incredible disappointment with 12), I went ahead and pre-ordered it. Not saying it looks perfect, but I haven't owned a wrestling game since HCTP (usually rented or borrowed). Should be nice to be constantly messing around with CAW's and what have you.

Re: Official WWE 13 Thread

We were throwing out stables we have on WWE '12 on the last page and since I make a lot of stables (STABLE WARZ~!!!) in Universe mode I figured I'd list mine:

The Corre - The Miz, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater & Ezekiel Jackson

The Family - Hulk Hogan, Nick Hawx (created guy), Benson Scorpio (ditto) & Johnny Curtis

High Society - Bobby Roode, John Morrison, Christian & Damien Sandow

American No-Sell - John Cena, Davey Richards, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar & Felix Lynch (created MMA fighter)

The Diamond Mine - DDP, Christopher Daniels, Kid Kash, The Great Khali & R-Truth

Los Rebeldes - Hunico, Primo, Epico & Zema Ion

Bomb Squad - Gunner, Rhino & William Regal

Notable stables from the past have included United Against Devon, The Mahal Administration (Commissioner Jinder Mahal's evil empire including talents such as Haku and Robbie E), The Nexus (led by Tyler Reks & Jerry Lynn) and The Rumblers (Devon's all Rumble winners based group).

Correct. At least 95% of the moves now are motion captured. They were done by now former indy guys and former WWE wrestlers most of the time. So when playing as Triple H, you are actually playing as Austin Aries pretending to be Triple H.

Back in Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, they had Austin Aries, Paul London, and Claudio Castagnoli motion capture most of the moves in that game. They did have some WWE wrestlers (mostly midcarders) motion capture their own moves and entrances. MVP also did it in 2006 and 2010 for SvR 07 and SvR11.

The motion capture technique was used to make it as real as possible, but it got rid of many of the moves because of that. In a purely visual perspective, have 100 mo-capped moves and 150 animated moves doesn't mesh well, so THQ and Yukes slowly removed most of the animated only moves. So WWE games in this franchise went from having over 20 animated variations of each move to having roughly 3-6 for each move. DDT's and Powerbombs used to be numbered in the late 20's. Now there are about 10. They can't include 800 mo-capped moves, so we have fewer moves as a result.
