Just had a pretty cool moment, in my opinion.

WWE Champion CM Punk if for some reason feuding a bit with the new WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Nash and Jack Swagger. On the first RAW after Extreme Rules, Punk was set to face Nash and Swagger in a tag team match with a mystery partner, and that partner turned out to be Richie Steamboat (one of my downloaded CAWs who I still hadn't entered in my Universe). Even though Steamboat was dominated throughout most of the match, Punk and Steamboat ended up getting the win as Punk pinned Nash.

Road to Wrestlemania

I have never felt so out of control. WWE '12 wants you to play their story and that's it. All this having to press y to go to one of endless cut scenes rather than having a normal match where you can pin your opponent and win. This reached a peak at Elimination Chamber where for every person who came in you had to pin them before the next came in. I just want to play these as actual matches and when you are dominating a match and a cut scene comes in to give your opponent the win is just annoying. Also you can't loose, it just says retry. Back in the day if you lost it would change how your story played out. Not anymore you are drip fed this story.

For me there are way too many bugs. At times you can tell an animation is playing rather than you having control. Such as when Cena is in Superman mode and there is nothing you can do to get away from him or even get a punch in. And it gets rather annoying when the AI likes to do the same moves over and over.

Another stupid addition is in a mixed tag match. Fair enough if a guy hits a girl its a dq, thats ok. But when they tag a guy in and you have a 5 count to tag in your partner or get dq'd is stupid.

Also in the TLC match they have made the objects way too big. Once a couple tables and ladders are in the ring you can't move.

I have only been playing for a short while and haven't gone at the Universe mode which I hope gives me the freedom I am longing for. The game on a whole is fun to play apart from the usual collision glitches like fighting while your foot is through the mat. But RTWM mode is a BIG disappointment.

WWE have done well with this game and have breathed new life into the franchise but there is still much work to be done.
Pretty good overview of the game. About Universe mode though not sure if you've now gone into it since writng this but if you haven't I doubt you will find the freedom you wish. There's a slight difference since can have title matches and such whenever you want with no issue but you will encounter stuff like Remarkable matches which won't go able unless you either play them or skip them week after week. You can create your own match over them but the remarkable match will be back again the following week and every week until you complete it.

I decided to put realism on the side and build a monster of a wrestler, 2,00 meters high. He now looks like a luchadore on steroids, called him The Masked Terror...

Point blank.... game worth getting or not? I have a gift certificate I'm going to get rid of soon and I want to know.

I thought last year's game was mediocre.

Serious answers only plz.

Game Informer shit all over this game and I normally trust their reviews.

Whats the price now In america? I picked this up for 25 which would roughly be around $40-45 and I think it's worth it. Wouldn't pay full price for it though simply because Online seems to suck. Haven't really tried a match properly yet but community creations is impossible to access. Worse than last year. Done some of RTWM and that doesn't seem great. Only reason I haven't played that properly is because I've unlocked everything and I've heard that's pretty damn horrible too.

Universe which I've played quite a lot of is ok but the Remarkable matches stuff will piss you off since it messes us your feuds and never goes away unless you do them or simulate them until the computer decides to end it which could be weeks or months.

Main good point is the gameplay because once you get used to the control and up the level's a bit it becomes fun and much more fluent than last year. If you can get a bit of control in Universe too that's pretty damn fun as well. Would hate to have paid full price for it but considering I saved 15 on it I'm pretty happy.

Game Informer's review was pretty much solely based on how much they didn't like RTWM. I'm convinced they didn't play anything else.
