Re: WWE '12
Had WWE12 since Friday and have given it about 12 hours of my life, so I figured I'd post my thoughts for the benefit of those considering purchasing.
This game is about 95% in terms of what I want from a wrestling game. The transitions between moves are infinitely smother than in SvR11, the camera angles make it look very classy and in most cases the graphics are also improved. I'm really enjoying Universe mode on a whole, just finished WrestleMania this morning with a 20-minute main event of Punk vs Austin.
A few niggles:
1) "Remarkable matches" are not so remarkable a lot of the time, I deeply regret buying Michael Cole now! That said, it seems to have gotten over the Cole vs Kozlov feud that took up 5 straight weeks of remarkable match slots, and is now putting together a nice Cena vs Rock feud.
2) Custom music plays through matches I'd say 1 in ever 10 occasions, which gets deeply annoying.
3) If Cena kick's out of a Tombstone at 1 and hits me instantly with an AA one more time I'm editing his stats down to 0 and he can take JoMo's place as lead-jobber.
But yeah, overall I'm very happy with the game. 1 or 2 tweaks and I'd say it's just about perfect, a must-buy if you love gaming and WWE in equal measure.
