I really feel that THQ really and I stress really like to cut corners.
Agreed, and it's a shame. There's so many things in this franchise that are things you just don't do, and yet they continue to just ignore reality. Jerry Lawler has the theme he used once. ONCE. Why doesn't he have his normal theme? He never used the fucking theme he's got after the first time. Alberto Del Rio's car is ON THE RAMP. What the fuck is this shit? The only time he did that was during the Rumble, and even then, it came out from the back. This fucking thing comes out from the side where there isn't even a ramp for it to get up there.
And there's so many other things. The generic title win celebrations, oh my GOD, don't even get me started, lack of entrance attires year after year after year, a lazy superstar threads section where he can change the color of the outfits. What, only the COLOR? Why can't we choose any attire? No Mercy had that feature over 10 years ago for fucks sake. Also, the restriction of how many guys can be in the ring, I think it's like, what 6? So the Royal Rumble looks fucked because after they hit the limit, nobody comes out until somebody is eliminated. There's games that can have hundreds of characters on screen at once.
It's just sad. I wish WWE would fucking pay somebody who actually cares about the WWE to make these games. If I was Vince McMahon, I'd never allow such a half hearted representation of my product to be put on the market. It's a shame that we don't have an alternative, it's either SVR or nothing, basically, at least as far as WWE games go, because the other games are going for a totally different direction.
