Re: **OFFICIAL WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw 2008 DISCUSSION THREAD** (56K Beware)
Hey, another thing, possibly the most important thing they need to do this year.
Make the damn matches longer and more challenging! And by more challenging I don't mean reversal-fests and not being able to hit a single move but I mean by making the AI 10x more aggressive, effective and brutal. Matches shouldn't end after a clothesline like the last game either. We need challenging AI with faster reflexes, not slow pieces of shit which you can unload move after move on with ease.
The damage went up way too quick last year, I want to have 15+ minute matches this year like I could in '06!

I agree.
They should add a new feature, say you were doing WWE 24/7 with Bobby Lashley and your first match would be against.. lets say Chavo Guererro. Of course the match would go under a short period of time because Lashley dominates the match being the powerhouse that he is, and the match going on for a few minutes. But say the tougher the opponent is, the harder he is. I don't like how we make the options of how hard the match is, they should be changed on how your current wrestler is. The match with Chavo would be set on easy, but then the next week you're facing The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title. Then the difficulty would be raised, therefore running the match longer and making it a tougher job for you to win.
That's what I'd like to see.

Re: **OFFICIAL WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw 2008 DISCUSSION THREAD** (56K Beware)
^^^Yeah, that's a good idea. I understand that if you're going against some jobber then it should be a short and easy match but if you're against a legend like Taker or HHH, the match should really feel intense and difficult.
I think that say if two midcarders were facing each other, the match could go for like 10 mins, but if it was an epic battle between two main eventers like HHH and Taker then it should go for 15-25 mins, just like in real life. I think that we need the AI improved majourly in gimmick matches, it was way too east to outsmart them and dodge their weapon attacks by side stepping. The AI just needs to be more proactive and attacking IMO, rather than reactive and sluggish. You need to feel like you're on the defense for a change instead of always dominating a match.

Re: **OFFICIAL WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw 2008 DISCUSSION THREAD** (56K Beware)
What I hate in matches, is that you know when you've clearly knocked out your opponent and can pin him without him making an effort to kick out, because they'll kind of just go limp on the ground, with their arms and legs straight.
No.
That shouldn't be. Another big thing they have to fix for SVR2008. I don't want to see when I've clearly beat up my opponent and he won't struggle to kick out. First of all, they should always struggle, and secondly, their state on the ground should be the same throughout the entire match. So it doesn't exactly give away when your opponent is through.
See, it's little things. Little things like this, that do make the big differences in the end.

Yeah, I agree with that. It puts a lot of realism in the game.
Also, in WWE 24/7, I hope you get the option of choosing of which brand you want to go on, whether it be ECW, Raw or Smackdown. Then, we can choose if you want to start as a Tag Team or Singles, and it switches around during a few months or so. But I must admit, having too many tag team matches in Season last year was boring.

That would be cool, but it also depends on how good the player is. If he say focuses on one part of there body, there shouldn't be much the A.I can do. Unless it's Cena.

Here your goal will be to take your chosen wrestler (be it a member of the WWE roster, or your created star) and guide their career from relative nobody to WWE Legend and ultimately, induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
While actual details of how the two elements combine aren't fully known yet, we do know that 24/7 mode will include things like branching story paths, plenty of new cut scenes starring WWE talent, stat tracking, constantly updated goals, and a storyline that will take you and your wrestler through several seasons. Unlike in previous years' season mode, you won't be just going from one weekly event to the next in 24/7 mode; instead, you'll be responsible for your wrestlers' day-to-day activities, such as training and even attending autograph sessions with your fans.

I have a feeling 24/7 will make or break this game life span wise. I hope they put a lot of effort into it and don't half ass it like they did with GM Mode and Season Mode last year. I really hope we don't have voice overs this year, so then they can include more storylines etc.
