Re: **OFFICIAL WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw 2008 DISCUSSION THREAD** (56K Beware)
We need way more UCM this year, last year with the limited amount we were given it got a bit boring using them IMO. Last year was just the test version so to speak, they really should be aiming to refine and improve upon it quite a bit this year. If they don't I'll be very dissapointed.
I'm still a bit iffy about the AI in the game. I know they said they were going to work on it, but I've got a feeling that the gameplay could be a little bit too much stop-start with tonnes of reversals from the computer opponent which breaks down the flow and excitement of the matches, which is what has happened in previous editions.
Especially in gimmick matches like HIAC, Hardcore and Ladder, the AI was so horrendous and mind-blowingly stupid that it seriously made me not want to play in those match types as much because it was that bad.
For me, the AI is really the key thing I want to be worked on and is the highest priority for improved gameplay.
Does anybody else feel the same way?

Re: **OFFICIAL WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw 2008 DISCUSSION THREAD** (56K Beware)
JR was right; there were some nice surprises on the roster in Terry Funk, Rude, and Sabu.
Anyway, AI makes the gameplay. Literally, if you think about it and break it down. You're unable to do any of the cool gameplay moves the makers talk about before the release of the game, like the struggle submission system and shit, if the AI is unwilling to do even wrestle you and just backs off. It's easily the most important key needed if you want to have a good WRESTLING match against a computer player.
Ladder matches were the worse, easily, last year. It was lame of them to keep climbing up the ladder literally whenever they were on their feet. Every second that you didn't have a grasp of him, he'd be free trying to grab the ladder to climb, or already climbing. Impossible to have even a decent match with the computer.

I don't really use any as jobbers but for my CAW's i will probably use Rey because he is easy to do moves on(well usually) yet put's up a great fight.

i want more freedom with the ucm i want to be able to run while i have someone up for a suplex
i also wish you could do a ucm from behind moves like a back suplex or even lifting them up and sitting them on the turnbuckle

I always make Cena my jobber. Not just out of hate, but he's good to pratice on because with his rating so high he can fight back.

Jeff Hardy, John Cena and Kennedy will be my jobbers. Because I always job the overrated superstars.

Miz isn't in it, so I'll have to suffice with Jeff Hardy.

I dont know if anyone has noticed this or posted about it, but on Gamestop.com they have for pre-order a WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 COLLECTORS EDITION.
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=270140
It's interesting to note that the Collectors Edition ships on 11/06/07 but the original doesn't ship til 11/13/07
