1 weapon? I love hardcore wrestling games, and they do this :/ If I get this game, it's highly unlike i'm going to play the Monster's Ball match at any time.

After watching the Ultimate X video it puzzles me after Alex Shelley hit his finisher, A.J got straight back up. The gameplay seems very up-beat, which in a way looks exciting but on the other hand can get annoying.
gametap is the only article that claims there will be only one weapon and there was something in a article i think in ign that says there will be a metter under the name hud that will determine how long someone stays down after certain moves.
Highlights from GR's Podcast..
* The "intro" that they were talking about talked about seeing Team 3D, Kevin Nash, Robert Roode, and Sonjay Dutt.They went on to list all the confirmed wrestlers in the game plus nash and team3d and we are now at 26.
* They talked with Jeremy Borash at gamersday and asked if he too,like Mike Tenay, will be an unlockable character.He said he had to sign a non disclosure agreement about revealing unlockables, but that there were about 5 or 6 secret characters and one in particular "made him really mark out".
* Mike & Charles both agree that Ultimate X was the most fun they've had playing a wrestling game since No Mercy, and it's not even finished yet.
* There were programmers who would not confirm but "on the QT" were whispering that DLC would include wrestlers, arenas, and alternate attires.
* There seemed to be a lot of secrecy going around about Sharkboy. Mike Regan said that he was on the selection screen in Orlando, but was removed from the selection screen in the build at gamersday. They said some programmers were whispering that he is having his 24/7 gimmick added, but others were saying it might be DLC.

Yeah I enjoyed the podcast, it seems like they had pretty much nothing but good things to say about the game. They also raved over Ultimate X, putting it over really big as the most fun in a wrestling game in a long time.
for ultimate x they said it was the best multiplayer match ever in a wrestling game and the gameplay was the most fun after a long time and felt fun as the good old days for n64 games which is very very good!.so many awesome positive articles already when the game no where near finished as it still needs polishing and accurate movesets so it seems the final product can be real amazing or even"phenominal"!?!?!
i'm still confused with that gametap article cause it says in the game but not "in the final build"and there was rumors midway was going to show weapons at gamers day so maybe they dident get to play it but saw chairs in the game?? and like i've said that midway confirmed kotm/tables matches before and atleast 8 weapons and gametap is the only article anywhere claiming that.
oh and "hawt" no offence but um ok...it looks decent for you but you may not get it cause your not hyped for it at all??but it looks decent??,whats so damn funny about that(not being hyped)??oh and $63(with tax) is "top dollar" are you just real cheap or your like 15yrs old?? or both?

I think I might just rent it first and if I really like it I will purchase it, is it even coming out in Australia like TNA only just started here?
Also I cant wait to play multiplayer ultimate x if it is as good as they say then it will be awsome because I hold No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 in high regard.
GR has all the interviews up with Joe, AJ, Lethal, MCMG, and JB right now. Not alot of of new info about the game, but still some really good interviews.(Especially AJ and JB)
JB does mention Monster's Ball and uses the word "weapons" and just one weapon, so perhaps Gametap was mistaken.
The best thing out of all of them is that AJ hints at going back to singles and feuding with Joe over the World Title, which of course would be awesome.
