Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
The more info that is confirmed for this game the more disappointed I become. This actual gameplay better kick some major ass or else I feel it will disappoint. Even for a first game to only have chairs is horrible. Even in the first WCW game I played they had a ton of weapons. Lol at Full Metal Mayhem and Monster's ball being the same things with more players.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
^Yeah exactly, essentially Monster's Ball, Full Metal Mayhem, and Tag Team Hardcore are all the same match just with different parameters.(4 way, singles, and tag team chair matches. It really is lame)
Maybe chairs are just the only weapons in the game right now, cause I remember Bencia saying that they were gonna unveil weapons on Gamers Day. So maybe they just weren't ready in time and they'll come out later, I really can't see them having just one weapon in this game.
RAW on Sega Genesis back in like 1994 had more weapons than that.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
Yeah...I'm starting to get really disappointed in this game. First, the small..really small roster, but I figured, if the gameplay was good, it'd be alright, but now the gameplay looks meh, and for some reason(maybe just be me)..it looks..choppy. I know it's early, but this close to release, theres no excuse to have it looking like that unless it's the final version, I'm kinda worried that they STILL don't have the move-sets and finishers sorted out. But I can get past the possibly bad gameplay, and small roster, but then I find out theres no CAGE match(my most looked forward to match because I can do stuff like Elix Skipper did)...so no cage match, small roster, choppy gameplay, bad strikes...it's alright, but then I find out...NO BLOOD, and only chairs in the game....yeah, it's a big disappointment so far, which sucks because I was looking forward to it, but now seeing as how it's been delayed, unless theres something big they have, I'll probably wait for a price drop on the game.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
Well, I wouldn't say the roster is that small. There's already been 26 people confirmed pretty much and they've said there's gonna be some surprises as we get closer to release.
I mean, if guys like Rellik, Reign, Hoyt, etc. don't get int, it's really not a big deal IMO. But if guys like Kaz or somebody get left out, then I guess that would be kinda dissapointing.
But the match types and weapons do bother me alot, it appears as tho their trying to sell this game on gameplay alone. Now I will admit that gameplay is the absolute most important thing, but wrestling games have to have features and modes that make people wanna play.
Ultimate X looks awesome, but where's the rest of the TNA signature matches. I know they said KOTM was in originally, but clearly that doesn't appear to be the case now. Plus, Six Sides Of Steel is out.(Which doesn't make any sense for a wrestling game in these days to not have a cage match)
Then match types like FMM and Monster's Ball are in, but apparently are just "Steel Chair" matches. Dissapointing to say the least.
I know they've said all this stuff will be in the 2nd game or whatever, but man they've been working on this game forever. They should be able to put in alot more than just steel chairs and a couple of half assed match types to try and bait the customer in.
I still obviously am excited about the game, hopefully some things happen in the next 4 months or so that we aren't expecting.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
Whats the point of having Monster's Ball and FMM if there's only one weapon in the game? I'm disappointed.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
They Should Rename The Current Moster Brawl to Hardcore Four Way, Current Full Metal Mythem to Hardcore One on One and Leave Hardcore Tag Team as it is.
Monster Brawl And Full Metal Mythem should include pin, tables, chairs, ladders, guiters (for JJ), baseball bats (for sting) etc.
There should be bloods
Roster should incude atleast 40 wrestlers, 10 legends and no knockouts please.
Finishing move system should be like DoR.
Include Eddie Guerrero as Eddy so that WWE cant sue it.
Include Backstage Brawls, Six Sides of Steal, Tables, Ultimate X and KotM match.
Separate Fighting Styles.
And there you have it. The best wrestling game in history.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
i'm listening to the new GR podcast and at the 20:45 mark they say how they interviewd wrestlers and jb and asked him if he was in the game like tenay as amazons exclusive code and that he said that he signd a contract where he couldent say who as he would basicly get his ass kicked but that he said "there will be 5 or 6 hidden characters and one of them made him really mark out"so i guess midway really does have big suprises for us!?!?!5 or 6 hidden is good and for jb to "mark out"i assume it must be a big legend or something,oh and min's latter they said who was officially confirmed that not even shown but confirmed like dutt/petey/rhoode/sharkboy plus nash and team3-d if they are really in based on the intro and it totals 26 and if theres 5 or 6 hidden ones thats 31or 32 which is very good and they also talk about how they were disccussions how shark's new "24/7"gimmick may be in as dlc aswell as arenas/attires and wrestlers but also even talked about how they havent showed sharkboy yet and midway dosent want to show him yet so maybe he'll be updated by sept.??they talk about the game alot and they were very positive on it

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
So that mean the roster will be atleast 31/32 with hidden characters included, not really small at all like some people have been claiming.
There's only like 38-40 male wrestlers on the whole TNA roster, so there not really leaving that many out.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
Did I hear that right, one weapon??
TNA uses thumbtacks, tables, ladders, chairs and alot more quite frequently I guess, kind of silly to leave that all out.

Re: Official TNA: iMPACT Discussion Thread
I'm thinking or atleast hoping the whole one weapon thing will get sorted out by the time the game released. I can't imagine that with 4+ months still left that they can't find the time to add some more weapons in there.
Plus, apparently Midway is keeping alot of stuff close to the vest even still.
