I think you're confusing pre-booking with autobooking. In pre-booking you book it yourself, but in advance. For example, you can rebook the matches for WrestleMania the Monday before, and when it's time to do wrestlemania, you just set who wins and how, set the time for it and place in the card etc. In autobooking you let the computer decide the booking and all of the above randomly.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

On the Raw after WrestleMania but I don't know who to have Cena turn heel on, my main candidates are Styles just out of a feud with Shawn Michaels, Punk, Cesaro or Have Cena/Taker feud through to Summerslam, Bryan is my champion after beating Cena last night so that's out of the window

Current Top 5: CM Punk, Bryan, Ambrose, Lesnar and Rollins

All Time Top 5: CM Punk, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Lesnar

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

Anybody used an Invasion version? I'd like to rebook one but not too sure if there's one out there, especially not one that features all of the WCW talent from around then??

Can anyone point me to the right place? (I could google, but like to hear if people here had used it.)

Thanks in advance!

I'm somewhat used to TEW but I would be happy with either, really.

I wouldn't even be able to tell you if it is harder than EWR because I haven't even booked my first show with TEW - I tried doing it again but got bored 20 minutes in. There's just so much, from length of match, like I don't give a shit about these small details. I love the detail of the angles and storyline but little things like that make me just step back away from the game and say OK I'll take a crack at this later.

I think it would be harder because EWR is way too easy for me. You find two guys who have chemistry, have a feud full of attacks, interviews, tag team matches. Have a blow off at a PPV and they both get over. I had an AWA sim and I overtook all the companies with Stan Hansen, Vader, Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, Terry Funk, Steve Williams, Scott Hall, Dynamite Kid, Chris Benoit, Davey Boy Smith, Neidhart, Bret Hart, Kerry Von Erich, Lex Luger, I mean on and on and I started off with just 1 main event level. Grew from national (now global, NWA is 2nd and WWF is now 3rd) and now I have legit 15 main eventers, they are all that over. Granted there's one that is pissed (Davey) because I can't fit him in a feud but it just seems I just rinse and recycle the same process.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

What's written above about how long it takes on TEW, I can agree with that. I don't mind it, actually, feels like you're really putting the effort in. However, if it takes an hour to book Raw from everything of match lengths, interview lengths, intro's as well as all of the in ring and video packages too and then you get "B - This show lost us popularity in 2 areas" or whatever it is, it can be somewhat jarring. Why did I lose popularity? What happened? I wouldn't mind if it gave you a complete run down of what you achieved or didn't, and why things are working and such, but I do feel that sometimes you can put the time in on a C grade PPV and have no reason why it failed.

Still enjoyable, though, just for the booking experience and fun. Putting your own ideas down and disregarding how it gets over. I had things that got over ridiculously (Fandango becoming Jonny Curtis and based on Dirty Dancing, Xavier Woods employing Big Zeke to become his protector after he won the Cruiserweight Title) and some just lingered (Wyatt Family/Undertaker). It's just sometimes not worth following the game as a game and just use it as a bit of a creative exercise.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

If you feel like you're having trouble putting out good enough shows, check out the Booker's Advice tab. It's pretty helpful.

Found this piece of gem from there, that explains what you could be doing wrong;

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

What can I say about the TEW is. I only play a maximum of two weeks per time (it is 6 or 7 shows) and it takes me about 10 minutes per show. At first it can be boring but after you get...It's easy, I am almost 1 year on my game

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

About to start my 3rd month of wcw 2000. I just bought out ECW for some reason. Didn't really need to all their talent was on open contracts and have already take RVD, Alfonso, J.Lynn, Gertner Corino,(who's out 7 MORE months even-though ive never used him LOL). Will probably only keep 5-10 ecw guys. I am still thinning out wcw and with the ecw talent i now have 138 workers on my roster

Jeff Hardy is coming over in 3 months

Top feuds are:
Malice AKA (The Wall) vs DPP 76 OVR
Kidman (heel) vs Rey JR 87 OVR
Konnan vs Shane Douglas 87 OVR
Outsiders vs Steiners 84 OVR

Malice is my WCW champion i am trying really hard to build him up and feud him with Goldberg at Starrcade. His feud with DDP is starting to get better.

Buff and Jeff Jarrett just had a feud over the US Title in which Buff won both got over.

Ric Flair just retired but before he did him and Sting became tag champions feuding with Russo. Before he retired they dropped the tag belts to the new team of Bam Bam and Tank Abbott/Curt Henning is their manager. They are starting to get over.

Luger, Macho, Hogan and Goldberg are all mad and want to leave. GOOD! Goldberg is the only one i want to keep. By the end of the year the rest of the old terrible workers should be gone Piper Sid Steiners Nash Hall and their freaking creative control contracts.
