All but given up on my TEW save now. Like people have been saying, TEW 05 just takes too long to book shows and progress and I'm a very lazy man. So I've returned to my CZW save on EWR and booked a
solid return PPV. All 8 current feuds were ended at this huge event and I was so keen to get to this PPV in fact that I cancelled one of my TV shows, which was a huge fucking mistake, as I dropped from 38% public image to 17%. Fuck. Anyways, here it is:
Bit of background on the matches:
- Devon vs Jinder Mahal was a huge match, with Devon defending his CZW Wired Television title, his ECWA Heavyweight title, his ECWA Mid Atlantic title and his TWA Heavyweight title. Yes, I did buy a small company, fired all their talent and put almost all of their title belts on Devon. It was a stroke of booking genius.
- JBL and Batista are obviously non-wrestlers, but I did want to them to have some final matches in CZW. I did think Kassius Ohno could drag Batista to a good match but clearly that wasn't the case even though Batista spends every waking second in PRIDE these days on my game. JBL went over Dean Ambrose because I have no plans for Ambrose and he's floundering ever since his postal gimmick days.
- Davey Richards, who's 100 over with a gay gimmick, retained his Vince Russo Memorial Medallion in a Texas Deathmatch against James Storm. Storm consistantly has great matches and it's funny how I signed Davey Richards as a joke to put in crazy storylines but he's now my top heel with my 2nd most prestigious title (The Russo Memorial Medallion is taken
seriously).
- Mike Knox obviously beat Sheamus clean and did the classic Knox beatdown after the match. The rebuilding of Knox has begun.
- Dr Cube retained the CZW World Heavyweight title against Rey Mysterio. There was a slight temptation to put the belt on Mysterio just to shake things up a bit but I made the right decision to keep the title on Dr Cube. Especially since he's finally worked his way up to be my #1 babyface.
