Default Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

All but given up on my TEW save now. Like people have been saying, TEW 05 just takes too long to book shows and progress and I'm a very lazy man. So I've returned to my CZW save on EWR and booked a solid return PPV. All 8 current feuds were ended at this huge event and I was so keen to get to this PPV in fact that I cancelled one of my TV shows, which was a huge fucking mistake, as I dropped from 38% public image to 17%. Fuck. Anyways, here it is:

Bit of background on the matches:

- Devon vs Jinder Mahal was a huge match, with Devon defending his CZW Wired Television title, his ECWA Heavyweight title, his ECWA Mid Atlantic title and his TWA Heavyweight title. Yes, I did buy a small company, fired all their talent and put almost all of their title belts on Devon. It was a stroke of booking genius.

- JBL and Batista are obviously non-wrestlers, but I did want to them to have some final matches in CZW. I did think Kassius Ohno could drag Batista to a good match but clearly that wasn't the case even though Batista spends every waking second in PRIDE these days on my game. JBL went over Dean Ambrose because I have no plans for Ambrose and he's floundering ever since his postal gimmick days.

- Davey Richards, who's 100 over with a gay gimmick, retained his Vince Russo Memorial Medallion in a Texas Deathmatch against James Storm. Storm consistantly has great matches and it's funny how I signed Davey Richards as a joke to put in crazy storylines but he's now my top heel with my 2nd most prestigious title (The Russo Memorial Medallion is taken seriously).

- Mike Knox obviously beat Sheamus clean and did the classic Knox beatdown after the match. The rebuilding of Knox has begun.

- Dr Cube retained the CZW World Heavyweight title against Rey Mysterio. There was a slight temptation to put the belt on Mysterio just to shake things up a bit but I made the right decision to keep the title on Dr Cube. Especially since he's finally worked his way up to be my #1 babyface.

Default Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

My save started in July 2012 and McGillicutty injured himself in a match during a feud with Barrett. He was still able to complete the feud then I had Barrett destroy him post-match, powerbombing him onto concrete and attacking him as he was stretchered out and tipping the stretcher off stage.

I sent him back to development whilst he recovered from injury and I was happy to see his stats had gone up rapidly so in June 2013 I decided to call him back up alongside Paige and Richie Steamboat (more on them later).

I've been airing vignettes of Michael's character changing which were getting good ratings and now I've given him the crow gimmick to return with. I don't expect Barrett vs McGillicutty to be as big as Sting vs Hogan but I'm going to give this a long build whilst Ryback (still undefeated)feuds with Barrett.

I plan on having Barrett end the streak clean to help push him in the main event with Ryback then vacating his US title and walking out to reassess himself before returning and helping McGillicutty in his feud and help get him over.

Onto my other two call-ups, Paige and Richie's stats have both increased dramatically and I'm going to establish Paige as my #2 heel and go over a face Beth. She is a great technical Diva and will put on great matches with Natalya and AJ.

Richie was the face of FCW who managed to establish themselves from regional to cult and have a good TV deal at the moment. He had great FCW feuds with Brodus Clay and Otunga and had a 6 month title reign which brought his reputation up to national from indie.

He is going straight into the upper midcard and I plan on having him beat a heel for the US title once Ryback has vacated it.

I'm hoping my new call-ups will help me keep the lead in the ratings against TNA's new Monday show "3 count". TNA are global now and have a great roster but it was the 6 month signing of Batista that helped their ratings go through the roof and make them an international brand.

I'm still ahead but Steph (new head of the WWE after Vince retired) hates me already and if TNA overtake me I will get fired.

To everyone who hasn't tried the paid games, I would really suggest getting TEW 13 when it comes out. It's just so far and away better than EWR and TEW 05, and it's just over half the price of WWE 13. Anyways, playing EWR for the hell of it, WWE Superstars got a 98% rating. Here's the card, from first to main event -

Tyson Kidd vs DH Smith

Eric Escobar vs Mason Ryan

Natalya vs Beth Pheonix

Roderick Strong vs Yoshi Tatsu

Looking to get back on the wrestling simulator train again. So have a question to ask: I've never played TEW before. Heard it's more detailed, and depending on opinion of the specific person, even better overall than EWR. Is that factual? I'm pretty interested in checking it out. Also heard some smattering that it has some problems to it though. Does that come from using up too much memory or taking up too much space? I'm gonna go watch some tutorial vids on the setup of it atm, but some feedback here on the basis of the game is appreciated. Fill my curiosity void, if you will. Because if it's good to go then I'm gonna try it out.

Worse case scenario: I simply go back to EWR only and have a blast with whatever I do on that.

Caved and downloaded it anyways. So, it wouldn't be me without screwing up how to log the most recent data update (August 2012) into the TEW folder to make it work. I know how to do it with EWR, but for some reason when I downloaded this functioning TEW 2005 file, it didn't have any other files labeled Data, Buttons, Graphics, etc and the like. So...point being to all of this is what did I do wrong and how can I fix it to play TEW with my downloaded August 2012 update?

I'm very boneheaded with this file stuff on these games at first if you really couldn't tell.

I've done that before, never really went all the way with it though. I think I was pretty drunk when I decided to do it. This was one of the first Smackdowns I booked:

Each Royal Rumble was for the WWE title and then the last match was for it as well.

I completely lost it when I saw the main event result.
