Start with EWR 4.2 first. It's simpler and some find that more fun than TEW05. TEW05 is really good, but it's hard to learn at first and is very time consuming.

TEW 05 is free TEW10 is like 40 USD
as someone said i'd start with EWR as it's far less complicated than TEW

This, pretty much.
TEW05 is fun in it's own way and is more in depth than EWR, but it takes ages to book every show and progress through time. EWR is simpler (but still has a lot of depth to it) and you can really scream through months in game when you're on a roll.
And EWR and TEW05 are more popular simply because they're free. You can download monthly stat updates for each to keep them up to date with current rosters in real life.

Well, since I've got no money to spend on games, I pirate them - I sure as hell won't restrict myself to F2P.
But, in this case, if the free games are as good/better, I see no reason to pirate; especially if the free one is still updated.

I bought TEW2010 before realising 2005 was free. Still happy with the money I spent though.

Nash leaves my company, goes to WWE, wins the IC Title straight away and then goes on the NASH BURIAL TOUR. He's taking out all of them vanilla midgets!

Dafuq, was that seriously one card? The AI is pretty retarded at times, it must be said.
ROH's on a major roll right now. I've got it to Global level, and we're competing with TNA on Tuesdays and WWE on Fridays. I managed to sign Dolph Ziggler to a written deal in advance by offering him more money than he's worth and Creative Control. He won't need that control to be honest, since he won't be losing much. Kurt Angle's morale is down the shitter, as is Jarrett's, since they're both main eventers but have been jobbing clean to AR Fox, El Generico, Alex Shelley, Rocky Romero, Naomichi Marafuji and KENTA: all midcarders/lower midcarders.
I'm trying to sign Samoa Joe and CM Punk, both of whom are in WWE right now so that I can try to have them put on another 5-Star match like they did many years ago, but it ain't happening. Neither of them think it's a "good career move". Fuck good career moves, what happened to wrestling for wrestling's sake? Where's the passion!?
Other than that, Sami just won the ROH World Championship from Kenny Omega who turned heel after the match, so I'm going to continue their feud. Sami is now the top face, and so on the very next episode of Honor TV following his big win, he beat Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett clean in a main event handicap match, then I released them both with their overness stats both below 20.
Suck it, Dixie. That's for taking all my stars.
