Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Just recently got back into playing this game. I have 3 games that I alternate between. My WWE game in December 2012 with the champions being:
Started August 2011 now December 3 2012
WWE: Randy Orton (SD)
World: Johnathan Tyler Greene -aka JTG (RAW)
IC: Bane Roberts- developmental guy with killer stats. (RAW)
US: Shelton Benjamin (SD)
Money in the Bank: Kevin Steen (SD)- undecided whom he will cash in on.
Tag Team: Mexican Pride- Mistico (Sin Cara) and Averno
My TNA Game in August 2012
Started October 2011 now August 2012
TNA World: The Miz
TNA X-Divison: Austin Aries
TNA Tag Team: Vacant-feud between Chris Jericho and Abyss, neither willing to team with the other so it will be Abyss and Raven against Jericho and a partner not yet chosen at my Victory Road PPV.
Reality TV Champion: Jessie Godderz
and my created fed game Cross Canada Wrestling (CCW)
Started November 2011 now July 2012
CCW Heavyweight: Sean Morely
CCW Tag Team: Hawkins and Reks.
Now I enjoy all 3 but don't know which one I wanna focus on.

The Rock also has a unique message, as does Hogan I believe.
Just got this message in TEW 2010:
"Remo Richardson has gotten a lot of heat with the rest of the locker room after letting rip with the world's stinkiest fart, making the backstage area a no-go area for at least 30 minutes."
I lol'd.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Decided to start my own UK promotion on TEW2010 in the UK and it is infuriating because my midcard is awful.
I do have some good talent such as MVP, Morrison, Tajiri and Knox but I can't have a 2 hour show based just on those guys.
Plus, being a cult promotion in the UK no one wants to join. Damn.

Good choice man, Knox knows how to work a great match.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
I had Ohno debut and attack DBry and Ohno won that feud which got him from 75 to 95 over, and is now feuding with Seth Rollins.
And Over The Limit was the best show by far, and did 1.95 buys. Not bad for a B PPV :Punk2
Miz beat Rhodes to retain IC
Ambrose beat JoMo to retain US
Wade beat Cena to retain WHC
Punk beat Bryan to retain WWE

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
TNA just got over 3.5 PPV buys for BFG.
They can easily hit a 12k crowd depending where they are and are constantly putting out good matches.
They aren't at my WWE's level yet but I'm so close to a second Monday night war.

I've been playing a TEW '05 game as FSW in the UK and I gotta agree with your sentiments. The mid-card is hard to book as the crowd just seem to hate anything to do with them - matches or angles. Especially with the UK talent.
I've gone into overdrive on my show and managed to hire a ridiculous list of stars on very lucrative pay-per-appearance contracts. I've signed:
Batista
Kurt Angle (he didn't resign with TNA)
Jeff Jarrett (ditto)
Ric Flair
Bobby Lashley
Kevin Nash
Scott Hall
Ken Shamrock
Christopher Daniels
Rhino
Chavo Guerrero, Jr.
And others like Lynn, Homicide, X-Pac, The Briscoes etc.
Downside to all this is that with 2 TV shows a week I've been absolutely hemorrhaging money. My fed has got more popular but not quick enough and not by that much. My first true monthly event - London Showdown - is the next show I have to book and it's right at the end of month. I pray it makes me some serious dough at this point or my company is in for a bleak future.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
CZW's The Wrestlefest. The fans got what they paid for, a fucking solid show.
Opening match had a lot of hype going in, the fans wanted to see Ron Simmons vs Mike Knox for the CZW World Title after Simmons made sporadic appearances on CZW television. Was a poor match, 52% match quality, Knox wins clean until "OH MY GOD IT'S THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR!!" Warrior clears the ring, stands tall.
Knox was not standing for this and a match between Knox and The Ultimate Warrior was booked immediately by CZW commissioner Michael Cole (who assumedly made the match via Twitter, as I didn't have enough segments to have him book a match on air). Fans were frothing at the mouth by this point for a huge semi-main event Iron Man match. Mike Knox vs Ultimate Warrior.
Needless to say, I was furious. Warrior dragged Knox's name through the mud with his backstage politicking and poor selling. Knox tried his best I'm sure, but Warrior let him down, he let me down and he let the great CZW fans down. He got his $175,000 for showing up and ruined a PPV. Poor effort.
I am so sorry Mr Knox, not only did you contend with poor selling from Warrior, but also from stiff working from Ron Simmons. Both Simmons and Warrior will never work for CZW again.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Think I posted a page or so back that I hired Warrior. He tested positive for roids, soft and hard drugs so I had to release him because of the shit I was getting over Hardy who is out for 7 months after OD'ing. I have him job out to Sandow before getting beaten down and powerbombed off the stage by Big Show before releasing him from his contract, after 3 days.
I love this game.
