Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
So finally decided to give TEW a shot and I really like it well it does take some time to get used to it, it does look like it'll be more fun to play then EWR I mean so many more match types including Money in the Bank which is awesome anyways started playing as RoH.

TEW is much more detailed oriented. The best thing to do is to setup the storylines and then plan from the first PPV and book backwards. A lot of people, myself included, always would book week by week from the present on, but you should start backwards. When I played, too busy to now, I would spend probably close to 4-5 hours planning everything out before I even submitted my first week of booking. This way, you can make any changes to storylines if the crowd is not into a feud.
It is amazing when you consider the amount of time Adam took to create the game, and how much time it takes the player to actually understand the game. I remember playing the older version and not putting a lot of thought into anything. TEW is a much better version than the previous ones, but it takes a lot of time to get down the basics.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Here's my Survivor Series 2011 card:
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Chris Jericho
War Games Match
CM Punk/Colt Cabana/Bryan Danielson/Sheamus vs. Triple H/Shawn Michaels/Batista/Kevin Nash
SmackDown vs. Raw Elimination Match
Team SmackDown (Cena/Miz/Booker/Riley/Mistico) vs. Team Raw (Orton/Kofi/Lawler/Shelley/Sabin)
Survivor Series Elimination Match
The Nest (Raven/Reks/Kane/Rhino) vs. Big Show/Undertaker/Low Ki/Homicide
United States Championship Match
Jack Swagger (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
Intercontinental Championship Match
Christian (c) vs. Drew McInTyre
Cruiserweight Championship Match
Justin Gabriel (c) vs. Zack Ryder
Survivor Series Elimination Match
Tyson Kidd/DH Smith/Joey Mercury/JoMo vs. Mark Henry/Ezekiel Jackson/Nigel McGuinness/William Regal
A lot of new feuds on the card so not a whole lot of backstory. Jericho returned just before SummerSlam and hasn't really feuded with anyone until this point. He hasn't even had a PPV match just been cutting promos and hosting the Highlight Reel. Once ADR took the title off Cena, Jericho began cutting promos on him. Now that I've moved Cena away from the title picture temporarily I've moved Jericho in to be the babyface. Not really sure where it's going. I'm planning for Miz/Jericho at WrestleMania and I'm not sure if I want to make that one for the title.
Then for the War Games match it's basically the feud between Punk and Triple H boiling over. At this point Punk has taken the title off Triple H at the last PPV. Triple H has spent the summer building a power house stable with Batista as the muscle. Nash is pulling the strings as the GM and HBK had been interfering to help keep the title on Triple H for months. At the last PPV though, Punk had Austin in his corner to keep HBK from interfering. This allowed for Punk to pick up the win from Triple H. Now it's basically Triple H's stable against Punk's buddies in Cabana and Danielson. Sheamus is the guy that lost the title to Triple H prior to Trips losing it to Punk. So Sheamus has heat with Trips and he's also currently in a feud with Batista. Cabana and Danielson have also both picked up upset tag team victory pins over Triple H leading in. HBK is returning to the ring for the first time since his match with Taker at WM26 for this elimination match. I'm planning to continue the Trips/Punk feud with a HIAC match at the next PPV.
Then there is the Team SmackDown/Team Raw match. Pretty simple. Orton is the Raw captain and Cena is the SmackDown captain. Each guy put the team together filled with babyfaces, except for in SmackDown's case where the Miz managed to get on the team. Miz and Cena have had trouble coexisting throughout the process.
The Nest vs. Show/Taker/Homicide/Low Ki has had some backstory. Kane turned heel on the Big Show and joined his new manager Raven's stable The Nest. Rhino and Reks have had an ongoing feud with the Rottweilers (Low Ki and Homicide) and then after Kane's turn to the Nest, Big Show summoned The Undertaker for his return. Taker still has unfinished business with Kane after Kane buried him alive a year before. This is really all part of Raven's plan though as he wants Taker for himself at WrestleMania.
US Championship match doesn't really have much backstory. Swagger is coming off his best of seven series with Kofi Kingston. The All-American American decided to show his patriotism by attacking the Mexican Rey Mysterio sparking their feud. Cole who is Swagger's manager also had a brief feud with Rey earlier. Doing a job to him on PPV after insulting his size on commentary.
IC Championship match doesn't have much build up either. It's a pretty new feud between Drew and Christian. Christian has successfully retained his IC Title for 5 months since turning babyface after his buddy Edge returned as SmackDown GM and talked some sense into him. McIntyre is trying to make a name for himself on SmackDown after a 3 month undefeated streak on every episode of... Superstars.
Gabriel/Ryder is just a filler feud until Gabriel/Rey Mysterio. Ryder has nothing to do after his successful feud with R-Truth. He's pretty much just there to give Gabriel an opponent that can talk to feud with. Gabriel has had a nice run as the Cruiserweight Championship since he won the tournament to reinstate it with the help of his manager William Regal.
Finally the opener is just an elimination match between two babyface tag teams and two heel tag teams. Zeke and Henry have dominated the tag division with their long reign. They've defeated everyone including their partners in this elimination match. It's pretty much just a filler match although I may use it to set up Worlds Strongest Tag Team (Henry/Zeke) and the Hart Dynasty in a feud. Hart Dynasty has lost to WSTT in the past, but have never feuded with them. Then after that feud I'll be putting WSTT into their WrestleMania feud with MCMG most likely. The only team left that they haven't wrestled.
Also going to have The Rock on the show to talk shit to Cena to continue their feud.
also lol @ me saying not a lot of backstory then writing like 8 paragraphs.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
I went back to play EWR after playing TEW for a while. Goodness, I could only play it for like 5 minutes. It just lacks so much from TEW. Just planning events is so much better in TEW. I guess I got used to all the planning and the details. TEW is like EWR on steroids.
I will say that EWR did give me a lot of gaming fun for a long time.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
For those who play EWR, what gimmick do you give Randy Orton during his Legend Killer period? I'm trying to recreate this in 2011, so I don't know what to give him. My best guess would be pshyco.
