Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
TEW 10 is worth it just for being able to fire Randy Orton for failing a steroid test. Fills me with glee every time I fire him.

Might sound n00bish, but could some people point me in the way of some mods for TEW2005? All the links I've found are dead

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
rate, hate, review, ect
TEW 2010 August Mod
Hell In A Cell 2010 October
WWE World Tag Team Championship
Gallows and Punk defeated Santino and Kozlov, The Hart Dynasty and Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes ©
Not much story behind it, just wanted to get the belts off of Rhodes and McIntyre after a failed tag team push for them. I also just wanted SES to get the belts because I am gonna build them up after Cabana and Tyler Black debut and join them.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Championship Scramble
Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler ©, MVP, Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio
I want to make a Del Rio vs Mysterio feud for the belt.
WWE Championship
HIAC Match
Randy Orton © defeated Sheamus
After Orton won the title at Summerslam, he faced Barret and Sheamus at NOC and Sheamus demanded a rematch after Cena interfered to stop Barrett from winning.
No1 Contender for the WWE Championship
Elimination Match
Chris Jericho defeated Edge, R-Truth and John Morrison (in that order with Edge being last)
Jericho resigned a contract and demanded a main event title run so I will have him face Orton at a later date for the title and give him a short run/feud.
WWE US Championship
Daniel Bryan © defeated Alex Riley
A-Ri wanted to proove to Miz that he can make it in the WWE so he demanded a title shot against Bryan and Bryan accepted. Bryan debuted at Summerslam for the same reasonhe did in real life, for the 7 on 7 mach. AT NOC, Miz lost the belt to Bryan.
World Heavyweight Championship
HIAC Match
The Undertaker defeated Kane ©
Undertaker returned at Summerslam and it turned out that Taker faked the injury so that Kane could have a channce to shine on Smackdown which led to a who is the better Brother feud after Kane said that he could be great with Taker on Smackdown. At NOC, They had a double pin.
HIAC Match
If Barrett lost, Nexus would be fired. If Cena lost, he wouldn't be able to touch Wade Barrett and the rest of Nexus unless they attack him or are in a match against each other. If Nexus interferes by any way, Barrett loses.
Wade Barrett defeated John Cena by clean pinfall
Pretty match everything is accurate until NOC as it did in real life except Sheffield never got hurt. At NOC, Barrett used his NXT win title shot against Orton and Sheamus and Cena interfered to cause Barrett the match.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
It's fun to play iDOM 2010 on TEW, but for real life stats I use EWR. TEW is also very in depth, probably a little too much going on.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Gonna start an updated game with EWR. See if I can get ADR 100 overness.
Lets get some discussion going, why do you guys play EWR over TEW, or vice versa?
For me, TEW takes too long to do anything and it annoys me.

basically this. I liked the details, but there is just TOO much. I wish there was a game between TEW and EWR though cause EWR can be too easy and too barebones at times.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
Yeah, only thing I hate about EWR is, one, the skin - which you can change and two, the restriction on matches for PPV's.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
I can't be doing with the lack of details in EWR anymore. The game's just way too easy. After about 3 or 4 months of game time everyone decent on your roster ends up at 90+ overness. When you're able to book everyone half-decent from your midcard up into stellar feuds every single time it just becomes way too monotonous.
The depth you can get in your booking in TEW what with the huge variety of stats, gimmick effects, the issue of personal relationships, wrestler chemistry etc. is just amazing. I like the fact that you can book two top quality main-eventers with oodles of charisma and a load of popularity into a feud that falls flat on its ass and helps no one. That sort of stuff happens in real life all the time.
The best bit about the game is when shit takes you by surprise. In one of my 1995 games with WWF, Savio Vega in mid-late '96 was doing nothing, not particularly over, kicking his heels in the midcard. As a solid but unspectacular worker that seemed about right. I'd got no plans for him. Stuck him in a feud with Austin to keep him busy and happy, and for some reason the stars were just aligned for him. Before I know it he's fucking taken off. No matter how many times Austin goes over, Savio Vega keeps getting more and more popular. Finally decide to push him properly, and he gets more over than most of the guys I'd been rocket-pushing for months. Just as I;m about to stick him in the main-event/world title picture, bam, gets injured for 5 months and I have to rush someone else in to take his spot. Push de-railed. I was never able to get him back to that same spot again.
That's the sort of shit I love. I adore the sheer volume of the game too, the almost limitless options. But it's that sense that anything could happen in TEW that gives it a level of realism that makes me enjoy it so much more. It can obviously be reduced to number crunching in the same way as EWR, but it's so much more complex that it never feels as blatant or as hollow as EWR usually does.

Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
The main thing I hate about TEW is that theres so many angles it takes me ages to find and then select one, especially when it's something basic.
I also get confused with whos in an unchained storyline with who, but thats most likely my fault
