Just started an absolutely mammoth game on TEW 2010, using a real world mod starting in January 1999. I've taken control of the Monday Night Wars, with 3 different avatars controlling WWF, WCW and ECW. It's taking a while, but I just finished booking the month of January, I'm enjoying it a lot.

I didn't realise how thin on the ground WWF was for talent back then though. There's really fuckall to work with outside of a core ten or so (Austin, Rock, Taker, Foley, Kane, Triple H, Owen, Jarrett, X-Pac, Shamrock). Had to monster push a few of the bigger guys. Brought in Rikishi, who's being brute-pushed right into the main-event, and Mark Henry's being given a similar sort of treatment. Anyone got any recommendations for good workers from this period who I could bring in to shore up the WWF midcard?

I was fan back then but I'm not really familiar with the database. I would say Raid ECW for it's long term main eventer's like Taz,Raven, and sabu. to help WWF.

Then restock ECW what the indy/WCW-2000 talent that is on the come up like Shane helms, Elix Skipper, Vampiro, Jimmy yang. While pushing new guys in WCW. I think that could make your game pretty interesting.

Thanks for that suggestion. I've followed it to a degree, think I'm going to bring Shane Douglas into WWF, whilst Sid Vicious is also about to get rehired. Problem is that Raven's already a solid member of the WCW upper mid-card (gonna try him in a main-event spot opposite Sting before the year is out) and I've only just put the ECW belt on Taz and I'm making a lot of plans around him in that role. Dreamer, Sabu and The Sandman aren't really good enough for the big leagues, whilst Jerry Lynn, RVD and Lance Storm aren't quite ready yet.

For now I've solved my problems (sort of) by pushing Mark Henry hard to main-event status and rehiring Warrior. I've since set up talent trades over in Japan so I get Mitsuhara Misawa for 3 events each month. Getting rid of one rubbish worker, bringing in one who's delivering good-to-great matches all the time. Just having to push him hard when he's around to get him over with the American crowds. I'm also looking at hiring a few Japanese and Mexican workers just to get some mid-carders with a decent workrate.

Ironically given how things actually went in real life, it's with WWF that I'm really struggling. Getting ratings with WCW isn't hard at all, I'm just pushing some of the really talented mid-carders (Jericho, Benoit, Booker, Raven, Rey Misterio - Guerrero will get the same treatment when he's back from injury) and phasing out the likes of Lex Luger and Roddy Piper (who'll probs still get a speaking role of some sort). Does make you wonder how far WCW could've gone if the people booking had known what the fuck they were doing. There was SO much talent in that company in 1998/ 1999.

My fault I could a swore Raven left WCW by 99 cause he was back in ECW when I really started following it at the beginning of the TNN deal. But maybe it was tail end of 99/beginning of 00

I really need to get back into this game haha. It was so much fun, and my Road to WrestleMania XXVII was looking bright. Except I didn't have the time to book it, and it fell to the bottom of my priorities list.

I finalized my Hall of Fame:

Arn Anderson
Dean Malenko
The Steiner Brothers
Bruno Sammartino

Need to start this again, edited Regal's status from Roadie to Full time wrestler, gonna run an angle replicating what might have happened if he didn't fuck up his 2008 push.

I'm thinking:

Have him win Money In The Bank at Wrestlemania, have John Cena win the title at the same event, then on the Wrestlemania revenge tour he's gonna defend his title on the taped Raw in Manchester, retain, and then Regal is gonna come out and cash in, win the title and get the pop of the century. I'll see how that goes afterwards then carry on.

I like it! I always felt Regal could of done some big things. A 2009 sim I was playing, WWE released Regal and I picked him up as ROH. Regal vs. Danielson was 100% match ratings and fueds. It help project me into a near Global company.

Never Say Die
Before April 15th, 2011

ROH World Championship
I Quit!

Davey Richards(c) vs. Roderick Strong

ROH Tag Team Championship
Elimination Match

Kings of Wrestling (c) vs. The Briscoes vs. ¡Peligro Abejas! vs. All Night Express

ROH TV Championship
Eddie Edwards vs. Charlie Haas(c)

Cage Match
Tyler Black vs. Homicide

Kenny Omega & Jimmy Rave vs. Motor City Machine Guns

Mike Bennett vs. El Hijo Del Santo

I figure it to be a pretty good card. Homicide and Black would finally end their fued. Davey and Roddy would be coming close to the end. Tag team division is alive and well. Well that was prior to April 15th, 2011.

29 New Emails that include:

TNA Has Risen to Global Level
With TNA becoming Global, Alex Shelley has decided to sign a written contract with TNA
TNA has signed independent wrestler Tyler Black
TNA has signed independent wrestler El Hijo Del Santo

Edit: Chris Sabin just asked for his release.
