Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread
I am currently just under 3 months into my EWR game with the WWE. I'd say it is going very well so far, most the superstars on my active rosters are now up to at least 80+ overness rating, and I've got quite a few on 100 aswell.
Last month at Judgment Day, Jeff Hardy won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton. However about a week after he went into rehab with personal problems, and he is still out of action at the moment, so his scheduled feud with Chris Jericho has been put on hold and hopefully he will be back as soon as possible so that feud can be done and over with by the next PPV which is in a months time, Great American Bash. If that feud has been built up enough for it to be able to end, I'm planning on a Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy feud leading into Summerslam for the WWE title as both superstars are now in the mid 90's on overness rating and they have similar styles so their matches should go well.
Other feuds I have going on at the moment are likely to go on until Summerslam. I've got:
CM Punk vs Shawn Michaels (c) - World Heavyweight Championship feud on Smackdown! Shawn Michaels defeated Edge for the belt at the last PPV Vengeance. At the same PPV CM Punk defeated Bryan Danielson to retain the ECW title. Colt Cabana earned a title shot against CM Punk on ECW that following Tuesday, and Shawn Michaels came out and cost Punk the title (HBK heel turn) and as a result Cabana is now ECW champ. Shawn Michaels will probably come out of this feud still the champion and then feud with John Cena who also is now on Smackdown!
Colt Cabana (c) vs Bryan Danielson - ECW Championship: These guys can put on great matches together so I wanted them to feud together for the belt. Both were heel so Bryan Danielson turned face as a result of saving Chris Sabin from being beaten down by Colt Cabana. Now these guys are going to feud until Summerslam, with Bryan Danielson winning the title at his second attempt.
Triple H vs Undertaker - Triple H turned heel on my very first Raw, and after Undertaker switched shows with John Cena recently I thought I'd give these two a feud together going into Summerslam, undecided on the outcome and the aftermath of this feud, possibly Number 1 Contendership.
Randy Orton vs Christian Cage - (Christian is the face superstar) Again these two Raw superstars are just going to have a feud together into Summerslam, Randy Orton has the momentum going into this feud so him becoming the number 1 contender to have a rematch against Jeff Hardy for the WWE title is still a possibilty.
John Cena vs Edge - This feud will end up as a fight for Number 1 Contendership. As Edge was the previous champ and only just lost the belt, I'm probably going to give John Cena the win in this feud, which will lead to a HBK/Cena feud for the World Heavyweight Title.
Rey Mysterio vs AJ Styles (c) - This feud will be for the United States Title. AJ Styles just came out of a feud with Matt Hardy where Styles won the belt at the last PPV, Vengeance, so at Summerslam it is likely that he will keep the belt because I'm planning on giving him quite a lengthy title reign. Bryan Danielson was my initial candidate to beat Styles for the belt, so I could keep the ECW title with Colt Cabana and move Danielson over to Smackdown in the future.
Stone Cold vs The Rock - This is one of my major feuds at the moment between two of the most charismatic superstars in the business. Just started this week after a heated confrontation between the two, and they will collide at Summerslam.
4 Injuries at the moment in the game. John Morrison will be out for a further 6 months with a neck injury, Joey Mercury is out with a tricep strain but will be back next month where he might get a push in ECW, Psicosis is out for a further 7 months with a torn calf (has worked out well for his tag partner Juventud Guerrera who currently holds the Intercontinental Title and had a very successful feud with Rey Mysterio), and finally Paul London recently got injured and will be out for 9 months, which I was very pissed off about because him and Brian Kendrick have been a key part of the tag divison along with The Briscoe Brothers, current champions LAX (Homicide and Jay Lethal) and the World's Coolest Tag Team (Carlito & Shelton).
Additions to my roster since the game started: Christian Cage, Mistico, Helios, Joey Mercury, Jay Lethal, Homicide, Bryan Danielson, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis, The Briscoe Brothers, The Rock, and I think that's it.
