Welcome everyone to the matchups of the Not So New Year Snake Draft!

The following match is between:

TAT, your gracious host

and

Takers Revenge, Classic Wrestling representative

RULES FOR VOTES YOUR COUNT (PLEASE FUCKIN' READ):

- You must give at least a brief but specific explanation IN THE THREAD
- You must vote on all cards in the HOLLYWOOD bracket
- Votes from Myself and Takers Revenge don't count

There's a reason why these rules are in place and it's been explained before but I'll repeat it again, it's to make sure it's fair for everybody. 'Campaigned for votes' are what killed the drafts back in 2013 because people felt like they were getting screwing by dodgy voting. So, that means no suspicious influx of votes that happen to be voting for only one match which I'll assume is just friends voting for friends. It doesn't take that much effort to follow the rules anyway so why not do it? Anyway...

That's about it. Good luck Takers Revenge! And EVERYBODY who participated in draft please vote. HOLLYWOOD and WOLFPAC. It's the least you can do.

Tonight the entire roster bar the men and women in title matches, except for the STATFM Singles Championship will competing under 1 of 4 banners and will be trying to win glory for their team. This is an unmissable event, don't go anywhere, strap yourselves in, and enjoy the ride...

MODERN VS CLASSIC CARD:

Starting off tonight's proceeding ironically is much more than a Modern vs Classic matchup. Cody and Goldust were at each other's throats at Coronation after their loss to The Hooliganz and it all boiled over when they came to blows. However that wasn't enough for them. They needed to settle it like men and they asked STATFM Promotions for a match. STATFM agreed on one condition. STATFM stated that truly settle this dispute, they must spill each other's blood and as much of it as they can. Their own blood as it were. So tonight as well being the opener to the show and being the first Modern vs Classic matchup, it will be a FIRST BLOOD match.
OPENING MATCH: Team Modern vs Team Classic I
First Blood Match
'Dashing' Cody Rhodes vs Goldust

VS

- Nice fast paced match and all that good stuff
- Ten minutes after Dustin brings out the bullrope with cowbell
- Cody eventually gets the bullrope and cuts Dustin on the head with cowbell for the win
WINNER: 'Dashing' Cody Rhodes (12:47)
After the match, Cody looks at Dustin's lifeless body and has a look on his face as if he's conflicted. He picks up Dustin's body and stands him up in the corner waiting for him to come to. They share a few words which are inaudible until Cody loudly says 'IT'S OVER'. They then share an emotional embrace and Dustin raises his little brother's hand. There isn't a dry eye in the house.

The respect has not been given to Becky Lynch that she deserves. WWE has given the nod Charlotte. The fans have given the nod to Sasha. She is stuck in the middle. However, STATFM Promotions are giving her the chance to become immortalized in women's wrestling by putting her up against the face of women's wrestling in Trish Stratus. Becky is certainly more than capable of beating Trish but will she do it tonight?
MATCH 2: Team Modern vs Team Classic II

You won't find much wrestlers that have better workrate than both Cesaro and Bret Hart. Hell, it's no surprise that they do not think the other is a better than themselves and who could blame them? Well, tonight they get to the chance to prove that they are better than the other in the co-main event of the Modern vs Classic card. Rey Mysterio was originally going to get a one on one match with Samoa Joe but after his brutal match with Austin Aries he was not cleared for this event along with Austin Aries. STATFM had to find new opponents for Joe and came up with Joe defending his title against the Time Splitters in a triple threat match. Mysterio and Aries then became cleared for the event and suddenly STATFM had excess competitors for the Hardcore title. But this was no problem as everyone one of them are very exciting. As such, we have put them in an Ultimate X match. One of the most exciting matches there is...

At Coronation, The Undertaker decided to hint that he was coming to the STATFM Promotions. He did this by playing mind games with 'The King of Strong Style' Shinsuke Nakamura after his match with Daniel Bryan. Nakamura has made it clear that he is not a man to be played with by his numerous performances in New Japan that The Undertaker has never experienced. On the other hand, Nakamura has never experienced anything like the whole package that is The Undertaker. It's only fitting that this match gets top billing and not only is it one of the Team STAT vs Team Ratman matches, but these men are both the team captains. Nakamura - The King of the Strong Style, Taker - the best pure striker in WWE. The hits just keep on coming.

Sorry Ratman. Looks like I win this in a landslide again.

***END OF SHOW***

Nick Bockwinkel (c) vs Jerry The King Lawler (c) Southern Heavyweight World Heavyweight unification match.
This championship unification match was made on Bockwinkel’s instance. Still angered from their previous battle where Lawler broke Bockwinkels jaw, Nick might show a more aggressive side vs the King. Can the King withstand the onslaught?

The Outsiders Nash and Hall vs The Briscoe’s (c) World Tag Team Championship
Jay Briscoe’s famous beer mug found its way to ringside once again as he smashed it over Terry Funks head and earned them the victory and the World Tag Team Titles in last week action. This week they have a tougher challenge from the proven tag team of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Can the Outsiders use their power and veteran savvy to overcome the Briscoe’s? Or will the infamous beer mug find its way to ringside once again.

Masahiro Chono vs AJ Styles vs Dusty Rhodes Cage Match
Chono welcomed Styles to the federation with a swift axe handle to the back of the head. Dusty tried to intervene but received a swift right hand from Styles. What will happen when these three superstars are locked in the cage.

Ken Shamrock vs Kazushi Sakuraba Shoot style match
The 4 way submission match did nothing to settle the long standing rivalry between the Worlds Most Dangerous man and the God of Japanese. What will happen this week when these fiercely competitive submission artists go one on one?

Dean Malenko (c) vs Tazz Cruiserweight Title Match
Tazz challenged the Man of 1000 Holds to a Cruiserweight Title Match and Malenko answered by putting Tazz in the Texas Cloverleaf. Bad blood is brewing between these two mat technicians, will they be able to keep their cool in this battle of wrestling immortality.

Terry Funk vs Dory Funk Jr. Amarillo Hardcore Match
Dory is pissed that the Funks lost their tag team title match last week and took his frustrations out on his own brother Terry post match. Tonight they go toe to toe in the most dangerous match around, a Amarillo Hardcore Match

Madusa vs Bayley (c) Womens Title Match
Bayley was the quicker of the two in the last match and worked her way to an easy victory. Tonight Madusa has something to prove. Can she still hang with the Youngsters of the division? Can she regain the Title she once held so dearly? Tune in to find out!

Larry Zbyskzo vs DDP - Vince McMahon as the special guest referee
Mr McMahon took a beating last week from DDP. Tonight he has recruited Living Legend to fight his battles and named himself the special guest referee. Can DDP overcome the odds and finish off Vince McMahon once and for all.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

The six-man, Bryan vs. Michaels and Taker Nakamura matches are all fantastic but Shamrock vs. Sakuraba shoot, Malenko vs. Taz, Madusa vs. Bayley and especially the Funk vs. Funk hardcore match get my vote.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

Wasn't a fan of TAT doing the "two show" gimmick again, especially with guys appearing on each. No interest whatsoever in the main of the first card, and only really think I'd like two matches on the second card (HBK / Bryan, and somewhat Angle / Steamboat). Seems like a waste of so many talented guys on the roster.

TR on the other hand found a way again to construct a card based around a bunch of guys I don't really know as well but made it interesting with the stipulations, stories, and straight-forward assembly of his roster. Solid matches top to bottom, so this one gets my pick.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

2 very strong cards here as well.

Love the Outsiders/Briscoe's :banderas

but in the end TAT's card is so stacked:

Bret/Cesaro, that Ultimate X match, Angle/Steamboat, Bryan/HBK, Nakamura/Taker al top notch.

Gotta vote TAT :yoda

My vote goes for TAT. I like his card better. He has good matches like HBK vs Bryan and Londrick and Kharma vs Ivelisse, Son of Havoc and Angelico with good stipulations.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

TAT:
-Rhodes vs Goldust :mark: I LOVE IT
-Cesaro vs Hitman YES
-ULTIMATE X MATCH :mark:
-Angle vs Steamboat is interesting
-Nakamura vs Undertaker WHAT!?
-HBK vs Danisl :mark: :mark: :mark:
-I like the storyline but you have too much shit going on, its hurting my eyes and my brain :lol

TAKERS REVENGE:
-Outsiders vs Briscoes
-Shamrock vs Sakuraba is interesting with an emphasis on MMA
-Sorry bud, not much else is interesting to me

TAKERS REVENGE scores in the first quarter, but TAT takes the leader and continues to dominate throughout the match. TAT WINS.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

TAT takes it for me here. While I didn't like the two card thing, many of the matches on each of the card just outdo TR.

Rhodes/Rhodes, Becky/Trish and Cesaro/Hitman will be EPIC.

Angle/Dragon is also going to be great.

For TR; the Funk brothers match and the Tag Title match were the only saving graces.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

I want to vote for Taker's Revenge because of how :westbrook3 Londrick teaming up with Awesome Kong and Nakamura vs Undertaker are, but Flay's card ultimately still has more I like so it gets my vote.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

Have to go w/ TAT here, his card overall is just great ( how did he manage to draft all these guys?). I will say, the way you are formatting your cards are very confusing m8. TR had some good stuff as I love OLD WRASSLIN but some of the names dont do anything for me

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

Some odd matches on TAT's card and not a fan of the two show thing he did (again), but overall he just has better matches, so I gotta give him my vote.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

In honesty I'm not really feeling EITHER card here.

Most of the matches seem wasted on both cards; then again I'm not familiar with very much outside of modern WWE. Though I voted TR last round by saying I'd like to see a lot of these guys wrestle in their primes today, I just can't get behind that many matches on his card.

Hall & Nash against the Briscoes would be interesting, Bockwinkel vs. Lawler would as well. The Funk's facing eachother too... but I think the money match there is the Tazz vs. Malenko match tbh. At least, for me anyway.

TAT on the other hand has a huge amount of wasted potential but still managed Bryan vs. HBK which is an undeniable dream match for me. Cesaro vs. Bret is probably another great match I would like to see too.

Bryan and HBK trumps all of the good matches on TR's card, and Cesaro and Bret is just icing, but IMO TAT didn't do all that well here. Voting for TAT.

Re: THE NOT SO NEW YEAR SNAKE DRAFT! HOLLYWOOD SEMIFINAL MATCH #2: YODA VS TAKERS REVENGE

I'll vote for TAT, even though he has so many matches that have been done to the death in these drafts.. like PLS STOP ALREADY :cry (see: Bryan-HBK, Ziggler-Perfect, Cody-Goldust)
Anyway, for me, Nakamura-Taker and Angle-Steamboat are THE matches here and part of the reason I voted for you.

I liked parts of Takers Revenge card, but again, so many wrestlers I've seen very little from, and the one's that I do have seen stuff from, don't have strong enough matches to counter TAT's.
