Welcome to the Kappa Auction Draft's Round of 16 Match 1 between Shala aka "Ultimate Gohan" and Fringe. The rules for voting are simple - if you issue a vote, you must leave a sentence or two justifying your decision. If you do not do that, the vote doesn't count. This prevents some spam voting or begging for votes from friends around the forum, as it lends some reasoning behind the voting. Thanks in advance for cooperating!

Shala's main event sold his card to me. I would actually sit through some of those matches to see Okada vs. Reigns. There was nothing particularly interesting from Fringe besides Ivelisse vs. Lita.
Sorry Fringe, but the whole card is filled with boring matches with no substance, except maybe Ivelisse vs Lita. Puma vs Mundo vs Gabriel just sold Shala's card to me.
I think Fringe's tag with Meng & Barbarian vs. Slaughter and Sheik would've been worth watching but everything else on the card is pish. Don't stress though, this happens to a lot of FIRST TIME DRAFTERS. Including myself and even Shala.
Shala had buys on Harper vs. Kane assuming they're both in their prime, the main event Okada vs. Reigns, and a few solid other mid-card matches as well.
Luke Harper vs Kane is the only match I'd like to see on Shala's card. Okada is great, but Reigns generally makes me nap. Fringe's card, although catering to an older demographic, is well-structured IMO. Fringe gets my vote.
CASE AGAINST SHALA:
- Dutt vs. Eugene is an absolutely all-time WOAT match
- Could have emphasised the respective histories of the Colons and Jarretts
- Not into LU guys
- Don't feel like the stips fit the guys
CASE FOR SHALA:
- Sabin and Baretta would probably have a good undercard match for NJPW
- Carlito vs. Jarrett would draw in Puerto Rico
CASE AGAINST FRINGE:
- 'The Narcissist' Lex Luger plz. Get it right.
- Hassan vs. a Swiss guy?!?
- Would've liked to have seen Windham and Rotunda together
- Too many foreign heels and not enough US babyfaces to face them
CASE FOR FRINGE:
- Koloffs :mark:. Total mark for Nikita. The original Goldberg.
- Ivelisse vs. Lita is an interesting one.
- Meng and Barb vs. Sympathiser Slaughter and Shiek, in some kind of Bootcamp Match, would be immense
THE DECISION:
I'm sorry to say, Shala's card is the worst I've seen so far. Particularly in light of the fact that he traded me Baretta for Mainstream celebs Big Show AND Mr. T.
Fringe's is also a weak card, in light of the fact that he traded me Sting for a $5m loss.
Fringe wins but there's a lot of work to be done to survive the next round. Maybe pick-up Reigns, Kane and/or Taz.
Not really liking either card, but I'll vote for Shala, as that one just about edges it for me. Prime Kane vs Harper probably being the only match I'd be interested in on either card.
Sorry to say this but both cards really do look pretty hit and miss. I was originally gonna go with Shala, but the more I look at Fringe's card the more I like it, so I'm gonna go with him.
Shala only had two matches that interest me in Harper vs. Kane and Okada vs. Reigns, while Fringe has four to five matches I'd happily watch in the tag tourney matches, Brody vs Bossman like) and Ivelisse vs. Lita.
There aren't any matches I'd particularly like to see on either card apart from Okada/Reigns. As well as my vote, Shala gets a big "fuck you" for making his top match first blood.
Have to echo Rugrat's comments, I'm not really drawn in that much by either card but Shala has a couple of matches I'd watch so I'm giving him the win despite his poor stipulation choice for the main event.
Shala's card is a bit experimental until it gets to the solid main event of Okada vs. Reigns. :vince$
Fringe's...I....I don't know what draws matches are even there. (although the fatal four way with old timers sounds fun)
Vote goes to Shala for the main event alone and more tolerable undercard to sit through to get to the dream match.
