The Whig has an interview with Toronto native Nhooph Al-Areebi, who wrestled on the independent scene as Jasmin Areebi and was one of 11 new recruits reporting to the WWE Performance Center last month. Al-Areebi talked about growing up a wrestling fan, being a big fan of Trish Stratus and wanting to be a WWE Diva since she was a child. She also talked about being the first-ever Arab-Canadian Diva.

"I'm really excited to be here," Al-Areebi said. "I'm really excited to be the first ever Arab-Canadian WWE Diva. I think that's really exciting and I'm real excited to bring something different.

Jasmin has great aerial skills & works bumps convincingly, she reminds me of an early-wwf Lita (when she was with Essa Rios) and will make an interesting impact on NXT; her flexibility is sweet when she does the split-leg pin as a finisher called Magic Carpet Ride!

- check her Trish tribute move
