Predicting this'll be the real start of CoD's downfall. Getting the worst reviews of any Call of Duty to date (minus spin-offs) and definitely seems like there's less interest than in any of the last 6 years. Should be less sales; with people either not bothering, migrating to Battlefield or waiting for Killzone (or even Titanfall). If they can't even be bothered to make/use a new engine for next year it should be another write off.
It'll obviously take longer to fall than Activision's other properties (Guitar Hero & Tony Hawk) but I can see it happening unless something drastic happens.
Used to be really into CoD. Game, community, all that. But since this past summer I haven't really given a shit. I've literally played one game of Domination on BO2 over the last 4 months or so. I was hype for Ghosts when the reveals were going on, but now...eh. I don't even have Live anymore and don't really feel like shelling out $60 for that on top of the $60 for the game. CoD was the main reason I had Live and since I don't care for it much anymore I don't see a reason to renew.
Only just seen this reply - but I agree with everything you said. I still have Live but COD was the only reason I'd ever play online, so now it's kind of pointless for me to have Live. I don't care for playing Online in GTA or WWE games, COD was the only online game I bothered with. I've had Xbox ''friends'' delete me recently because I don't play COD anymore and all they ever play is COD, it's kind of sad. My Live will run out next April and I'll probably won't bother renewing it.
