Re: NBA 2K14
Hopefully the Association mode has been revamped. There has not been any changes to the mode in years. They need to bring back the D-League so I can send my second round picks there. If they are adding the Euro teams we should be able to draft a guy from one of the teams and stash him over there so he can develop. Also they need fix the coaching staff hiring in Association mode. I remember in one association I hired a new coach in the offseason and when I was playing my first game I realized I had Obama coaching my team lol. Trade logic and free agency needs to be overhauled as well. The CP3/Dwight stuff is common knowledge but I still see teams signing way too many players for a position (i.e. The Lakers having 6 point guards on their roster). Also they need to add some depth player ambitions so they will go to teams that fit their ambitions (i.e. winning team, big market, good coaches, style of play, etc.).
My Player could use some more depth. If I get drafted to a team with a star player on the roster (i.e. Thunder, Heat, etc.) there should not be any billboards or hype for me being the future of the team. They should allow players to be a role player and not just automatically give me shoe contracts when I'm barely starting for my team. If I improve and become a star and play somewhere else where I am the number one option then I can receive more endorsements. Also 2k should give me an option for my player's voice. Its awkward when I create a white guy or Asian guy and he still sounds like a black guy.
What I wish 2k would do is allow your player to come into the league either through international play or better if they somehow can make a new college hoops game with a my player feature. It would be nice to play for a college team and play through the NCAA tournament and if I want to leave after one year or stay I have the option. My ratings would be determined on my stats from college or international play. I doubt this will happen due to the NCAA license being too expensive and if people will actually buy a NCAA college hoops game.
