Re: Xbox Reveal Thread
This is coming from a huge Xbox fan, but this whole thing has been an absolute shambles. It honestly seems as though they've been scrambling their resources to push this thing out in time to compete with the PS4, rather than be left behind in the dust as PS3 was when the 360 launched.
Sure, it looks nice and shiny and polished, but the sheer amount of miscommunication between all these company reps and high-ranking officials is very worrying to me. We've been getting so many mixed messages and so much backtracking that I really do think they're now racing against time to try and respond to fan backlash.
I get the impression they're just on damage control right now, and in their hurry to dispel rumours or try and appease people, they're tripping over their own words and just fucking confusing the matter even more. First, we're going to have to pay a fee to play used games - oh, no, now it turns out the retailer pays the fee and we get it for the on-shelf price - oh, no, we actually just don't have a fucking clue anymore.
I can wait for E3. It's less than two weeks away until we get solid, concrete answers. I just wish that following the big reveal, Microsoft had stayed quiet following all the backlash and criticism, and waited until E3 to address everything - giving them plenty of time to get their shit together and make sure everybody understands everything.
