Re: Xbox One/PS4 fanboy showdown to the DEATH!
Frustrating announcement for me.
It's obviously fantastic that so many limitations have been lifted, but at the same time, I don't see why this has had an adverse affect on other policies.
Sharing/reselling/trading in physical games is a no-brainer, it will work the way it always has. Cool.
But why is it that, following this announcement, we can now no longer share or resell digital games?
I would understand if they simply mean the game cannot be shared by two people across two different consoles (was that even confirmed? I thought the family scheme was one-household, one-console?), because that more or less would require an internet connection to monitor whether the game is being played at the point in time player B wants to play it. That would make sense.
But do they now mean we will no longer be able to share the fucking thing at all? If not, why not? I'm going to be buying physical games anyway, but for those who download, does this mean they can't even share that game with people in their own house unless they buy the fucking disk?
Now that really wouldn't make sense.
