Re: Red dead redemption
I wish the multi was more populated. I bought it for the PS3, maybe Xbox had more people online. The riding around and dicking around and seeing random people and fighting them was so cool. Sony looks poised to take control next gen, so manybe most people will get it for that and multi will have more people to shoot.
I could make a new thread, but with this one topped - what would people want to see in a sequel? More importantly - what timeframe? They did 1911, and really can't realistically go much farther into the future while maintaining the same theme unless they chose to go to James Marston. I just thought the time of 1911 and seeing cars and Blackwater and how the old (wild) west ultimately did get supplanted was so fantastically done.
I suppose I would be in favor of going back in time (1880-1915 is about the extend of years you can use) and introducing some famous gunslingers with a cameo perhaps. The other option thrown around was going about 5-6 years ahead of RDR and seeing teh game transition from horses to cars, but I'm not sure that would work well. Once you ditch horses for cars, it stars to feel more like GTA. Or LA Noire even I suppose. I would be very open to moving back a bit in time, seeing some more interaction with Native Americans, maybe some travel to the Dakotas perhaps. Or possibly the end of the Mexican-American war and push west to the beginnings of the Old West. Alternatively, you could have a hero from the Mexican point of view of things, and have him travel to a much more advanced and "paved" America in the early 1920's, since we began to change before Mexico did. There are options for Rockstar, but not nearly as many as a GTA game.
