Very interesting. One very important and positive thing about this is that the golden age of pirates came BEFORE the revolutionary war by a couple of hundred years which means its breaking the trend set so far of every assassins creed sequel being set later in history. Of course this could also be not a new setting at all and using the same Character as 3 but set in the tail end of the pirate era.

I kinda agree with the devs on Japan, part of the appeal of Assassins Creed is getting to do ninja type stuff in settings outside Japan, an Assasins Creed in Japan would just be too similar to too many other games. Samurai Japan that is, I'd personally love a set of Assassin's Creed Games set in Modern day cities, by that I mean set ala Assasins Creed 2 and its various spin offs all being in the same time but different places, with one of the cities being Tokyo.

As noted above though Victorian Era London is the dream, assassins creed is built for a chase sequence on giant spinning clock tower pieces.

WW2 Paris is another great idea I've heard before.

And an Assassin's Creed 1 spin off in medieval York.

And of course going back to the Roman or Egyptian Empires, imagine scaling the Colosseum or the pyramids?

Friend of mine whom is an expert with modding consoles and all that stuff has a dev demo of this on disc. We are both friends with a Ubisoft rep who was given it on disc to show to stores etc etc.

He gave it to my friend who put it on his modded xbox that isnt hooked to live, so no risk being banned.
He said its very bare and basic and you just walk back and forth on a boat, if you move off the boat it crashes but its obviously just a very very basic tech demo used by reps to create hype. If I get to see it running if i go round his new house any time I will try and take a pic or video

Don't waste the energy bro, most tech demos are virtually useless even for the sake of hype, there's almost zero playability apparently, so the devs may as well just show it as a dev diary or some shit.

Oh i know that. I have used dev demos in my old testing job and its as basic as anything and im not even an assassins creed fan but curious to look at it running

So this guy will be born somewhere around early 1700's, about 100's years after Ezio "GOAT" Auditore da Firenze. If they plan to have my attention, they need to focus more on the story and Apple of Eden, but I really was left dissapointed with ACIII. This game feels like it should of been the 3rd and the actual ACIII should be the ACIV.

They're all fucked up over at Ubisoft, ruining a franchise just like Activision did with CoD. Fucking sad.

6th for major releases, 7th if you count the PS Vita title. The series was fucking great when Ezio was busy bossing it up, and I actually liked Altair just as much. Then Conor appeared, the story fell apart, and Ubisoft seems oblivious to the fact. Or they don't care. Again, I have little faith they can turn it around from here. We'll see.

Her vision? I thought it was Patrice Desilets who is credited as the creator?

Either way I'm kind of looking forward to this. They had to go back in time as any sooner than the 18th century is a dangerous issue surrounding the guns and pretty much why I don't think a WW2 version will ever be out.
I'm not too keen on having it be Haytham's father either. The Desmond trilogy should be over, he played his part and this is just gonna screw up the modern day scenario more.

The only way I can see this playing out with the modern element is if some distant relative of Desmond is taken as the new 'best hope' because of the Kenway link and uses this to find a way to defeat Juno in the present, throw in some modern day free running around some destroyed cities possibly. Either way they screwed themselves on the ending
