Damn... Those are the two exact places that I want AC games set in. Victorian London would be such a good setting for An AC game since it was so gritty and Japan would be cool for all the Samurai links they can make

Fuck, I loved the first 4 games in the series, but ACIII irritated me how it shopped with so many bugs and awful checkpoints of having to cross large sects of wildnerness. Noble idea to add to the game, but I didn't give a shit about hunting deer. I'll go play Big Game Hunter if I wanted to shoot shit that lives in the fucking woods. Not sure I care about this game either, but I'll keep an eye out. They're going to be hard pressed to reach the bar that Ezio (and even Altair) have set for this series, cause Conor did not live up to the expectations. That Revolutionary Era was RIPE with great history with how to implement The Templars and Assassins, secret societies, illuminati, etc. The layout of Washington DC, further info on where the apple of eden went. Ubisoft just totally dropped the ball and fucked it up with a lot of nonsense like going to Brazil as Desmond. I wanted to see secret societies and discussions. Instead, I saw guys killing cougars and hunting down pages of Ben Franklin's almanac that always seem to disappear with "Come back later!" messages. Fucking dumb, and it would be the clear cut winner of "most disappointing" game of the current gen if Mass Effect 3 never came out. Amazing how two completely awesome and excellent franchises had two stellar games to open a series, and bombed on the "3" labeled one.

AC certainly is starting to become like Call of Duty with the annual releases. If it comes out this fall, for current gen, I will not buy it at launch.

Hutchinson's producer Francois Pelland sounds a little more open to an AC: Japan, noting that "At some point it's true that any good piece of history could be good for an AC game." (Consider other options from this supposed Ubisoft survey that mentioned Japan, America and other settings.)

I have to agree considering the settings of the 3 games, all are original and seem interesting
