Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Trade in value right now is $20 without any of the stackable bonuses.
So 25% bonus brings it to $25 then 10% more for trading in two games brings it to $27.50 and 10% for PUR brings it to $30.25 credit towards Bioshock.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't trade in games but I am on CAG a lot.
The only thing that might not work is doing the preorder bonus with the tier trade bonus. But very YMMV

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Apparently news is just coming out now that GEARBOX actually only developed the multiplayer and TimeGate developed the bulk of the singleplayer. It explains why its so terrible but kind of shady on Gearbox.
I love Gearbox, but come on. Did they think it wouldn't sell if their name wasn't all of it or that they could fool people? If that was the intention? Or are they metaphorically falling on TimeGate's sword so they take the brunt of the hate.

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Can't wait to see how the shotty in this game plays.
I saw the leaked early release footage and the MP'er looks fun. I haven't heard good stuff about Single player but personally I'm more of a MP'er guy so if the SP sucks and the MP is fun, I will end up buying it. RedBoxing it first thing in the morning though for now.
Do any of you old Aliens fans remember when this game was FIRST supposed to be released, waaay back on PS2?

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Not surprising it's getting shitty reviews early on. It looked like shit from all the game play videos and I'm convinced there will never be a good Aliens game. Or a good Predator game, for that matter.

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
There were two AvP games on PC, Alien 3 on SNES, AvP arcade, Aliens Infestation and a very underrated strategy game on PS2/Xbox that were all good.

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines.
AvP2 is the GOAT. AvP1 was so fucking amazing though. When it first came out, that Marine mission was just scary. Especially on NIGHTMARE. I don't know how you can think those two games weren't good.

Have you played AvP on the Atari Jaguar? It's hands down the best game on that system, and one of the first games to incorporate a non-linear RPS element through 3D gameplay. The graphics are very dated by today's standards, but back in 1994 it was cutting edge stuff. The branching outcomes depending on the character you choose, the computer log narrative, the map layout and sheer size of the landscape makes this game surprisingly deep for for it's time. The atmosphere is awesome as you'd expect from an AvP game. It's very reminiscent of the D&D roleplaying element, and very much a thinking game where you make the best use of your tools and analyse the environment as opposed to a straight up shoot em up like Doom. It's very similar to System Shock on MS-DOS, only System Shock didn't have the alternate Marine, Alien and Predator paths.
It's a very, very underrated and overlooked masterpiece. Probably due to the Atari Jaguar selling as much as double layered Sweatshirts in mid July.
