Battlefield 4 to be shown off by EA in the next three months

http://www.gamespot.com/news/battlef...months-6403195

EA will soon show off the next Battlefield, and says it is actively developing for next-gen consoles.

EA has teased that it will show off Battlefield 4 within "about 90 days" alongside signalling that it's actively developing its main franchises for the next generation of consoles.

Why is everyone abandoning E3 as the reveal platform? EA does this, and MS and Sony already announced they'll reveal their consoles prior to the event.

Re: Battlefield 4 to be shown off by EA in the next three months

I wish they'd all wait until E3. Sony and Microsoft want to get the ball rolling sooner to one up the competition is all. Seeing Microsoft and Sony release in the same quarter of a given year would be pretty crazy IMO. Not sure I would buy either one right off the bat, barring a far superior gaming lineup for one console or the other. Microsoft really has to come up with more first and second party games for their system. Halo and Gears alone may not cut it this time around, especially with those games seeing a major release within a year of their soon-to-be new console.
