Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
Yeah I have to go back and play on Zealot for 2 but that should be easy seeing how I skipped it and went straight to Hardcore and beat it. Im still deciding on whether I'll attempt Hardcore for 3. Could you imagine almost beating the game only to die and have to start all the way from the beginning. Game is kinda long from what I hear too.
I really enjoy the idea of optional missions though. First time doing it I didnt even know it was optional until I saw my waypoint was leading somewhere else. The reward for it was great though plus always interested in the world of Dead Space and how ppl acted.

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
Yeah, that's pretty much why I liked it. You get to understand more about the world of Dead Space and what actually happened on the ship, really good stuff. Annoyingly when I first got to the ship I clicked RS to see where to go and it kept taking me back outside, it was resetting my objective back to the main mission.
Still, Hardcore Mode does sound insanely tough. But it may be ok if you can do it on NG+. But still, 1 life? *Gulp*

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
What a piece of shit. Yesterday I played until I got to Chapter 7 and the auto save icon showed, so I stopped and went to sleep, today I wanted to continue and bam, it put me back to the beginning of Chapter 6. Fuck this game, fuck it.

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
Well, if you complain so much about having to play chapter 6 for a second time I guess you are not very happy with the game to begin with?

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
Tbh, no. I don't know what it is really, but it rather feels like a chore, I'm keep playing it, expecting it to get better, but to no avail. The iced earth parts don't seem any better either, from the vids I've seen. There'll be gunfights against human enemies that seem a bit out of place. I honestly don't get it, I remember how much I enjoyed Dead Space 2, it was the first horror game I beat and I enjoyed all of it and still think, to this day, that DS2 had one of the most awesome boss fights in the current gen games. DS3 seems kinda dull compared to DS2, it's not even scary and barely any fun. I deleted it, because I had no desire replaying Chapter 6.

Didn't like the first two, had fun playing the demo for this. Might buy it.
Don't we all know John saying a game sucks mean's that it is good?

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
lol yeah Striker, that's usually the case. But from what I've read and the gameplay footage I've seen I have alot of worries and I'm probably the biggest Dead Space fan on here not named Soupman Prime. So yeah, I have some concerns.

Re: Dead Space 3 Discussion Thread
The only bit I feel is less Dead Space and just more a run of the mill shooter is when you first meet Issac and you're killing actual humans. Sure it added a new type of enemy but it's not the ones we expect from Dead Space. It was pretty bland fighting them, but at least they don't move as fast as Necromorphs.
Anyway, I'm up to Chapter 10 played quite a bit of it this morning, just couldn't put it down. The story is picking up pace, crashed landed on the Ice Planet and fought my first Mini-Boss which in turn ran off like a bitch. I've got the hang of the craft bench now but haven't really made anything as I hardly have any good parts to use. So I'm just upgrading my Plasma Cutter and RIG for the time being.
The Planet, and the way you had to keep yourself warm, certainly remind me of Lost Planet, but thankfully I'm having more fun with this game than that one. I also don't mind the back tracking, it doesn't feel like a chore to me. Reminds me of the old Resi games where you had to go off and find a door key, only to come back and somethings not quite right.

Decided to play alittle today and man do I hate those rejuvinating necromorphs.
Was playing then saw someone was joining my game and im like wtf lol. Then when I checked and saw it was my friend, been playing a couple chapters Co op and its actually fun.
Just created a shotgun with a melee attachment really enjoying the weapon crafting.
