I have fond memories of my Chandelure. but also sigilyph. he suprised me for only being a 1 evolution pokemon (I usually hate them because they're boring).
I liked Sigilyph.
Another one I ran in my team. Like Chandelure, it was another Pokemon I liked the moment I saw it, I remember mine was hard to catch, was a decent Pokemon to use.
Roserade looks cool, never raised one though. If I play a Gen 4 game I want a Roserade.
Smogon do make a lot of poor choices in their tiers.. Like Raikou in UU for example.
Point. But you think that's bad? Mew's in UU in BW, the Pokemon with 100 in every stat and can learn every move, along with the likes of Zapdos, Snorlax. How does Mew drop from Uber in D/P to UU in B/W? Apparently B/W OU is so good that those Pokemon aren't up to standards, but yet Dugtrio's in OU? I get Arena Trap is a great ability on it, but come on...
Compare them to Gen 1.
In Gen 1 they killed a Marowak, created one of the best Pokemon that have ever come out in Mewtwo, taken control over a Gym and were also planning to capture Mewtwo by stealing the Prototype of the Master Ball.
Gen 2. They've used a signal to attempt to evolve Magikarps, and then took over the Radio Tower. Impressive right? No. All they tried to do with said Radio Tower was contact the leader that failed them 3 years earlier.
Gen 1 Team Rocket - The best Villain Team in all the Pokemon Games.
Gen 2 Team Rocket - Quite possibly the worst team in all the Pokemon Games.
Again you have a point.
I just liked having Team Rocket in the game despite how much better they were in Gen 1. Things like having them in Gen 2 made the Gen 2 games real sequals to the Gen 1 games. I liked the continue story, and in their remakes I like how you find out that Giovanni was the father of your rival Silver.
